Random Trip ~ Chinatown, Lincoln Center and Central Park ~ NYC lifestyle

Saturday was supposed to be a quick Dentist visit in Chinatown and then we were supposed to go home. But. We don't go out often these days. I work full time and weekends are my cleaning and relaxing day. I rarely go out. But since we were already int he city, so why not? After our dentist appt in Chinatown we jumped in F train on East BWAY station and took uptown to Rockefeller CTR and transfer to D. Then we took it two stops to Columbus Circle and then 1 train to 66th Street Lincoln Ctr. Hahaha! confusing right? I bet if you not form around here it might be. We went all the way to 66th street to visit my sister in law who works at Garment Garage, small supermarket with very yummy foods. Its right across the street form Juliard, cant missed it. If you around in the area def check it out. They have the best Hungarian Mushroom Soup! it smells and tastes almost like the one my mom and my grandma makes!oh men I missed that soup! with Christmas around corner is miss it even more. But long story make it short. After we ate and hang out with Snow, we went to take few pics at Lincoln Center :) Nice place but outside not much to do. After we were supposed to walk down to Columbus Circle and take train home , but with Central Park right in front of us we decided to take a short walk in the park. It was cold and gloomy. But we did had lots of fun.
Here is full load of pictures! enjoy !

Labor Day At Lake Welch, NY and how we lost a bike. (lots of PICS)

Happy Labor Day! :)

We just came back from our little trip. The idea of going away for the day was very quick. One phone call and few hours later we were in the car. The first option was Pocono but its a long drive and we wanted to go somewhere close. We asked around and someone told us about this Beautiful place.
Lake Welch is not far from NYC (1h drive I think, depends on the traffic and how fast you drive). It's located in Ramapo Mountains. It's the largest beach in Harriman State Park in Orange / Rockland Counties Read more here and here.

It was my first time and not the last. There is a quite big camping area with built-in Grills, (of course you can bring your own too) the nice beach, clean sand and clear water :) so much fun especially for kids! My Sophia didn't want to get out of the water! She was soo happy :)

Sophia and her cousins had lots of fun, Skuter and bike riding, playing soccer, jumping and swimming in the water and building sand castles :)

On our way back we did unfortunately LOSE ONE BIKE!!!!! We came with 4 and came back with 3 !
I think to blame was the bike holder that was attached to a trunk, that the bikes were not secured properly and we did drive fast and hit every bump in the road. On Brooklyn bridge people were honking on us and telling that we are dragging the bike behind the car and that they were almost down!

We drove slowly, stopped after we exited the bridge and saw that one bike was missing .... Yes we did probably lose it on the highway .... anyways, it took us 30 min to secure the rest of the bikes and we did drive slowly back home and yeah, the other bikes were lucky, a few more bumps and all of them would've been gone .....
So that was my Labor day! We did have fun and then we cried over the lost bike :)
