Hello Loves!

Hope you having good April so far :) I have an amazing self care routine including Fresh Beauty products! I am so excited to finally be able to share my thought on this brand and their products. 

My first products or should I say kit I purchased around May last year. I was at Dermae event at Union Square in NYC and a block away was the cutest FRESH store. The set up was so beautiful and ladies working there were so nice and really helpful. 

After taking tones of pictures and playing with many products I finally left with a cutest Rose kit :)

It included:

* Sample size of Sugar Rose lip Balm 

This set was bit pricey ($64) but I got the toner that I been waiting for so long! Plus I got birthday gift and few samples :)

WINTER - SPRING SKIN CARE TRANSITION  

Recently after an almost year break I finally got back with Octoly. Gosh I did missed that platform :) So far I got some exciting products that i will be sharing in future post but now eeeekkkk I want to show you the baby I wanted, wanted but could never afford it :) The FRESH famous Kambucha Essence. A disclaimer  that out of all products this is the only PR Sample provided by the brand. Rest was purchased by me, or came in subscription boxes that I pay for. 

Just wanted to show you my quick and easy routine with these products and tell you bit about each of it. :)

I start by washing my face with FRESH Soy Face Cleanser - if you read this blog and follow me on my IG you know I love this cleanser. I been loving since I got small sample a while back. Then I bough full size, then I got full size again in Boxy Charm. So the moral of the story is I really really like this cleanser. This cleanser is super gentle on the skin, I even let my 11 year old daughter use it. This cleanser is the best suited for dry and dehydrated skin (like my daughter she have a dry skin) but me, an oily, acne/prone skin gal find it works good for me too. Especially now! Guys my skin got so dry! I haven't wore makeup for a month now and my skin feels so dry... or should I say felt so dry. Where I notice dryness the most were my cheeks. But after using this daily for past two weeks my skin feels so much better! More radiant and cleaner! 

Main ingredients:

• Soy protein – Rich in amino acids, which strengthen the skin’s natural defense system and also contains antioxidant properties.
• Cucumber extract – has moisturizing and emollient properties. It also has soothing effects on the skin and is great for sensitive skin.
• Rosewater – has a plethora of great skincare benefits. It is infamous for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It also helps with hydration, toning and controlling excess oil.

Once I am done with washing I pat dry my skin with paper towel :) Yeah paper towel coz its a one time use. imagine you use your towel for a week.. imagine all that bacteria that sits there... So yeah I either let it air dry or use paper towels to dry my face. 

After that I grab my Shisheido cotton pad and pour some of the FRESH Rose Toner on it. Ah what a joy :) This alcohol free, rose petal (yes real rose petals floats inside the toner) softens the skin and help to refine the appearance of pores, it cleanse and balance the skin after previous washing. It is an immediate boost the skin plus by toning your skin absorbs products that follow the toner much better then if you didn't tone at all. For me toning is really important. The scent is very pleasant and not overwhelming that some rose scents might be. Just hoping the petals that are lock inside won't clog the top. I heard that is the only issue with this toner.
Main ingredients :

- Rose Fruit Extract: Known for its toning properties.
- Rosewater: Helps to soothe and rose flower oil helps to nourish.
- Angelica Leaf Extract: Helps retain moisture.

After toner I will go with my recently gifted by FRESH Black Tea Kambucha Essence. You guys have no idea for how long I wanted this essence. I was always intrigue by the name essence, it sounds so fancy and luxurious, don't you agree?  First time in action I saw essence at Innisfree event(roughly 3 years ago), where they thought us  I believe it was 7 step Korean skin care routine. When the question was asked what is Essence and what does it do, no one answered except me LOL. Guys the look I got from some other girls was priceless! Some were very nice after the "seminar" and some would look me up and down like I'm some kind of freak of nature.... UGH... I really didn't appreciate that, especially when all women should support one another, and don't look down on me coz I dunno don't have a full face on makeup and skills like you... Really silly one individual person that destroyed my mood that day...What can you do move on and try to avoid her when ever I see her at any events... Im all about supporting other bloggers and creators but not her~ #girlbye.

Anyways back to Fresh Essence that acts as a middlemen between toner and serums/moisturizers. Essence provide skin with extra nourishment, and they are packed with vitamins, antioxidants. They are like a daily vitamin to the skin.  Black Tea Kambucha Essence is the treatment that provides anti- pollution and antioxidant protection, improves skin luminosity, reduce the look of fine lines, refines look of pores, smooth's skin texture, boost healthy tone, provide moisture and protects against the blue light.

What is Kambucha - its a fermented sweet black tea, which is rich in vitamins and organic acids produces through fermentation process. Fermented tea is an ancient ingredient that was used in Asia and Russia. It helps protect skin against free radical, pollution and now the blue light.
Now you probably want to know what is blue light and how we can protect our skin from it. Blue light is a part of the spectrum of visible light, is a high-energy, short-wavelength light (not to be confused with UVA and UVB rays).  The main source of the blue light we're exposed to is the sun, however we also get a significant dose from our screens (computer, phone, TV). This cause not only eye strain like cataracts, glaucoma but also have a huge impact on our skin, that includes color changes (hyperpigmentation) inflammation, weakness of the skin surface, dullness. Studies show that the blue light emitting from tv , computer and phone screens  penetrates deeper then UV rays and that cause skin damage and faster aging.

To prevent skin damage from blue light is good to get a blue light screen protectors for your phones and invest in skin care loaded with antioxidants and consider skin care routine formulated with ingredients proven to address the visible effect of airborne pollutants.

And yes you guesses! Fresh Black Tea Kambucha Essence is one of the skin care treatments that should be added in the routine to stop the skin damage. I know that by using it regularly in time you will see the difference in you skin. I been using my for past two weeks and already can tell that my skin looks a bit better.

Plus hello I live in NYC, where there is a pollution so any skin care that fights against that is welcome in my drawer :)

Next product I got just recently and I wanted to include it in this post as it is a part of my routine for past 5 days. FRESH Rose Deep Hydration Oil Infused Serum - this actually a brand new products from Fresh that will launch next week, April 14th. I got this full size sample via Octoly on Monday and I put it in the rotation.

It comes in the similar glass just like the Rose Toner. Its a light weight treatment that strikes the perfect balance between water and oil to deliver deep hydration and nourishment to the skin that instantly look more dewy, soft and plumped with moisture. Fresh created this bi-phase serum to nourish like a facial oil with water-light texture that absorbs effortlessly into the skin.

Oil phase- a blend of skin friendly oils- rose flower, camellia, rose-hip, and squalane- immediately nourish and soften the skin.

If you look at the bottle you can the the bi-phase happening. In order to use it just shake it up so both, water and oil combine. I like to use my fingers when applying it to the skin. It has very nice rosy scent that is not overpowering, very similar to rose toner.  I like that squalane oil is one of the ingredients. Because of its molecular structure, squalane oil penetrates deep into the pores where it targets skin concerns at cellular level. It fight off skin damaging free radicals, it balances oil production, provides moisture to keep skin clear and healthy. It also has powerful anti-aging properties and anti-inflammatory benefits that helps with acne and eczema. I love this oil on its own and mix with others.

What can I tell you after using this new serum for past 5 days? Well, first off I didn't have any reaction. After those 5 days that I include this serum in my routine my skin is definitely more hydrated and overall looks really healthy. But that is thanks to the routine that I formed with these products :)

Next step is the moisturizer, FRESH Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream - another amazing product. This cream is really light weight with silky texture that does feels light weigh on the skin and helps prevent moisture loss. This cream is suited for any skin type, normal, dry and oily. I have oily (like I mentioned 100 times already LOL) and it works just fine. I have it for almost a year, as it came in the box with the rose toner. The first time I opened it up was around September or October. I know it was Fall already and I decided to included it back then in my routine. I recently pulled it out again and I already feel difference in my skin :) I mean this time, the transition from Winter to Spring products like this are really saviors.  Guys my oily skin never felt so dry, it might be also caused by me sitting home all day, due to quarantine? Lack of fresh air is taking toll on my skin and I need all the hydration I can get.

The last product that I have that I included in my routine since Monday is the new FRESH Rose Petal Soft Lip Cream - a deeply hydrating rose lip balm that condition and relives dry lips for a smooth, petal soft pout. I amen I don;t have to introduce Fresh lip balms to anyone, now do i? Their lip balms are some of my faves. I have few sample size ones but I tell you even tho is a sample there is a tones of product inside.

This lip balm as you can see it is housed in a cute frosted jar. Its pink and feels heavenly on the lips. I tried give it to my daughter, but although she likes the nice rosy scent and what it does to her lips, she doesn't like to use her fingers to apply. So hey more for me! This will launch in early May 2020.

So that would be it on my FRESH skin care routine. Oh men that was a lot huh? That might have been one of my longest posts. But worth it! I am really happy that I can share it with you all.

Winter Skin Care Routine with Dermae, Clarins and Willing Beauty

The winter months can be difficult and harsh. And let me tell you NYC winter this year is no joke. For over two weeks temperatures were below 20F. 

And my oily skin become dry and rough. So mainly I focus on hydration and use a lot of hydrating products. 

Here is what I been using during last few weeks 

DermaE Hydrating Cleansing wipes ~ I got them in the mail like two weeks ago I believe. And they are the reason that the post didn't go up two weeks ago, hahaha! I figure if I like them i will include them in here and guess what!? I like them. What I like the most is the cloth itself. It is thick, soft and soaked. It removes my makeup with such an ease! I need only one wipe to clean my entire face and neck. They are what my dry skin needs at the moment. I do like the scent as well. There is a hint of cucumber scent if I am not mistaking.  Each wipe is infused with Hyaluronic Acid that helps condition, soften and smooth skin, leaving it fresh and dewy. Fortified with super fruit extracts like Grape Seed and Maqui Berry, they offer antioxidant protection while keeping skin clean and refresh. Even tho I said they take off makeup I will still no matter what wash my face with cleanser.  ($7.19 at DermaE and Target Website)

DermaE Hydrating Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid ~ one of two cleansers I been using. I love how convenient it is. Hello pump! It purifies, restores and refreshes my skin. Papaya exfoliates to regenerate the skin, while lemon grass acts as natural astringent to tone and tighten. Hyaluronic Acid binds moisture to the skin for smooth and radiant complexion. I been using it morning and night time. It cleanse very well and works great with my Michael Todd Beauty Soniclean.  It does not strip the skin and it really hydrates it. My skin feels really soft and most of all hydrate. No more itchiness!

I use it to even remove my eye makeup coz its really gentle and non irritating.  ($13.95 Dermae)

My second cleanser is Willing Beauty  Do-Over Nourishing Cleanser. I really like this one. The formula is silky and smooth. Comes out like a balm and later it foams up a bit  and beautifully not only removes left over makeup but also leaves skin hydrated. Leaves no residue and don't strip the skin. I use this one mostly night time coz it removes makeup really good. Especially on the days when I don't use wipes. Definitely a mist have for me this winter. Plus it is great for sensitive skins! ($18, here)

After all the cleansing I go with Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum. I apply it before any moisturizer morning and night time.  A light weight, moisturizing serum designed to nourish with organic leaf of life extract to protect against dehydrating effect that damage the skin, such as sudden temperature change. I use two pumps and apply to my skin. It sinks in right away. My skin feels soft and hydrated! what else can I want? Perfect for the winter months. ($78, Clarins and other retailers like sephora etc)

Along with serum I been suing Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cooling Gel. I love this guy! I use it all year round. I do love the light scent of it. I really addicted to it hahah ! It have a gel like consistency that sinks into my skin and leaves it hydrated!  After it settles in the skin it leaves it matte. I do like when my skin is matte but lately I need some glow. I am pretty sure I will have a lot of use of this guy during warmer months as well. So if you need boost of hydration this is your duo! Both Clarins products work amazing together. ($48, Clarins and other retailers like Sephora etc)

The last moisturizer I want to mention is DermaE Hydrating Night Creme ~ another must have for me. This is drugstore option and it is budget friendly. This one hella amazing night cream. The formula is a bit thicker and takes some time to sink into the skin. It makes my skin hydrated and soft. Again no irritation. It did calmed my redness and helped with my acne. Creme also have anti-aging properties. My skin loves it and I bet your would too. ($29.50, DermaE)

Night time Skin Care Routine including SRB, Bravura London, Dr.Brandt.

Skin Care is the most important part of the day. I get send a lot of pr skin care and I am trying to switch around as much as I can and then share it with you.As a disclaimer all the products mentioned in this post were send to me. To be honest I don't remember when was the last time I bought a skin care product.  and also I have to mention that I don't get paid for reviewing these products. I get send them to me for my honest opinion. So if I dont like something I definitely let you know. 

I usually start my skin care around 9-10pm that is the time that I am done with dinner , homework, etc (monday to Friday) On the weekends my skin care look a bit different.

First I reach for makeup wipes. I use them to wipe off rest of my makeup. One wipe sheet is enough to clean my face. The makeup wipes I been currently using are my the brand Celavi in scent Milk. The brand offers more scents to choose. I have one more in Honey but I don't really like the scent. The Milk ones smells amazing and the wipes are soaked really good. And they take off makeup with ease. They don't feel harsh or anything. There is 30 in a package and they cost less than $5 score! So if you ever are looking for new inexpensive wipes I recommend Celavi in scent MILK :) for more scents click here,

once my face is clean I go to my eye makeup. And here with help comes Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover.  this guy is new in my cosmetic bag but after few uses it become a staple for me. It is really gentle! realy! if you have a sensitive eyes try this! my eyes love it! I didn't notice any burning, no blurry vision, no irritation , nothing! before I pour few drops on a cotton pad I give it a good shake and then press on closed lid to soak up the eyeshadow and mascara and then I sweep it off. I have a small 1.7fl oz (50ml) bottle that was gifted to me my a friend, but once I am done I am getting full size .. unless my friend can get me one more LOL.

Ok so now I'm don with my makeup, time to wash my face. Here I been using a Stabilized Rice Bran Enzyme Powder Wash by korean brand SRB. There is a huge hype on korean products! I guess it got to me too! LOl I actually want to try more korean brand and I might check some asian subscription boxes for that. I was contacted on my Instagram by the Choc Choc Cosmetics (korean beauty store in Chicago) they asked me if I would like to try SRB rice bran enzyme wash. Well you don't have to ask me twice hahah.

Yes! and this was a really good decision. I freaking love this cleanser and I will give you 10 good reason that you will too love it :
* First off - is great for all skin types even for the sensitive skin!
* Second - it is really gentle and non irritating (hence great for sensitive skin).
* Third - skin feels so soft and looks healthy after using it
* Fourth - rice bran extract helps repair damage skin
* Fifth - no uncomfortable dryness or tightness after using
* Sixth - smells really nice , like baby formula or cereal :)
* Seventh - really easy to use, just add few drops of water and then clean your face.
* Eight - skin feels clean and refreshed
* Ninth - brightens up the complexion
* Tenth - even kids can use it :) coz of the gentle formula.
I tried it on my daughter and she and her skin loves it :) She told me that her face feels so smooth and soft :) So yeah kids love it too!

once I am done with washing my face it is time for mask. I don't do masks everyday but once in awhile. For a past few weeks I went back to my holy grail mask by Dr.Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask.  I talked about it before you can check it here. But yes this mask will always have a special place in my skin care, My face feels soooo good after. I try to use it only if I really need to, I dont know if I will be able to purchase it again - the price is kinda high for my small budget and pay check :(  but it is worth every penny. I will wait for some sale or coupons tho.

My last two steps are with newest addition to my skin care by Bravura London. Salicylic Acid 2% Peel - this is such a an amazing products for acne/oily skin. Salicylic Acid is great for deeply penetrate pores, to dissolve oil buildup, It is housed in a navy blue frosted bottle and it comes with a dropper. it have clear and fragrance free formula. Bravura London recommend to use this peel for 10 (max 30min) and then rinse with water. I prefer to keep it overnight (as a serum) and then wash it off in the morning. Also it can be use  as a spot treatment :) talking about versatile product :) I didn't notice any dryness and my face looks much much better. Usually Salicylic Acid dry my skin but this one feels better :)

On the nights that I dont use Salicylic Acid I reach for their Azulene Moisturizer -  light moisturizer with healing properties. It is prefect for my oily skin. I didn't find it greasy or oily. There is no fragrance to it either. It absorbs intently and leaves my skin feeling nourish. he moisturizer come sin a blue frosted jar wit rose gold cap. The moisturizer itself is blue! but don;t worry there is no dye added. It is blue because of the Azulene plant and no it wont make your face blue :)
Over all Bravura London line is amazing, especially for people with problematic skin such as me. I am really looking forward to try more. I have to more products waiting for me to open them :) SO i better get going and do so.

Real U Australia ~ Skin care

Real U Australia ~ skin care I been loving and using for a past few weeks.

They are an Australian Brand, Their hypo-allergic formula helps calm down skin. Products are great for all skin types. Gentle on skin and are made without benzol peroxide and salicylic acid.
Real U Australia was kind enough and send me 3 of their products, that I been using in my skin care routine ever since. And I have to mention: I am running low on face gel!OMG!

Lets me tell you a bit about Face Wash. It is a gel formula that foams up once you massage on  face with a water. I used it with my clarisonic and soniclear and it seems to work wonderful. Left my face soft and clean. I also notice less reddens and breakouts while using it. Before washing my face I remove my makeup, but if there is any 'leftover' this face wash helps me with it. I really been loving it . I don't think there is any scent to it, well my didn't have.

After I am done with washing my face I follow up with Face Gel. It gives a great hydration. Gel formula and a little goes a long way. Absorbs really fast and leaves my skin hydrated and ready for Real U Moisturizer ~ which I been loving! It feels like the formula might be heavy and think in consistency  (once you squeeze and then put on your face) but blends really nice onto skin and absorbs quick. It do not feel heavy once it blends to the skin, you actually don't feel it at all.. It contains antioxidants for problem skin.

Overall I been really enjoying real U Skin Care line. My face feels a lot more cleaner and acne a little less visible. I also notice less reddens. I still get pimples once in a while, but as I use it they disappear within days. Some of the stubborn once they like to hang with me w little longer tho.
I really love this brand and the face wash is a must have! and as I said before I am running low on that one :(

Michael Todd beauty Soniclear Petite Deluxe ~ review

can I introduce you all to my new BFF? Say hello to my new face device :) 

I received my Soniclear Petite form Michael Todd Beauty around a week ago and I been using it daily. And guess what?! I Love it!

Clean skin is very important, especially for me since I tend to play in 'makeup playground' a lot.  After first two uses,  my co-worker asked me what kind off foundation I am wearing today? ummm same as yesterday, I told her. She is still looking at me and say that there is something different about me. She said that my face looks better then when it did on Friday when she last saw me. I told her it is not foundation it might be my new Soniclear, which I been using for past two days. Two days wow and you can already see the difference. NICE! It is amazing!

I do have acne and sensitive skin. So I was afraid that the brush might be a bit to harsh on my skin but it wasn't. The brush is soft and gentle and it didn't irritate me at all. The head don't spin but it vibrates. Cleanse all the dirt and leftover makeup away with ease. Soniclear is a sonic skin cleansing brush with build in antimicrobial protection against stain, odor causing bacteria. Sonic cleansing can create a breeding ground for microbial contamination when skin cells, makeup and moisture residue combine with bacteria that cling to the brush bristles between cleansing. It also means that you don't have to replace head as often as with other similar devices. They recommend changing every 6 months.

There are also 3 cleaning speeds that you can adjust to your preference (Low, Medium, High).  

another great thing is that once you start washing your face, it will beep every 20 seconds to tell you to move to other part of your face. I fin this really helpful! 

Now the charging part. I say read instruction first :)  It was bit difficult to figure out for me LOL and it is so easy! If you have MIA you can notice that the charging is almost same. I said almost ... well there is same attaching charger that just cling to your device ( see pictures below) but it also comes with a charging stand. you can slide the charger in and leave you Soniclear upright until finish charging and even after. I keep my upright all the time. The charging cord is universal. It ends with an USB and you can plug it in any charger. So with that said if you travel to other country and thy have different outlet, you just don't have to worry. Plug into anything that USB fits. Which will works so good for me, coz next time I go back to my country I can bring my Soniclear with me :) and I can also bring more as a gifts!  Michael Todd Beauty thanks for making life and charging easier! :)

Michael Todd Beauty Cleaning Milk ~ it comes with a device. I actually like it. Works well and smells nice. Didn't feel sticky or greasy. Its hydrating and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft to touch. the only thing I don't like it the really runny formula. When I leave it upright and once I open it  just spills.... :( what a waste of product :(

I am all about for a good skin care. I never was fond of any serums, because they have the tendency to dry me out, a lot.  Ater that I said no, no more serums or me. 

But then I received two serums that I absolutely fell in love with. One of I reviewed or you already and now it is time or second one. 

Hey Honey "Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum" ~  this light and luxurious serum replenishes and protects skin to improve tone or elegant glowy skin. Rich moisturizers and nutrients such as honey, silk amino acid, sea buckthorn oil and vitamin E provide intense moisture and radiant smooth skin.  

The foundation of Hey Honey's products is Honey and Propolis, which have been used for centuries. Honey is natural antioxidant, it absorb and retain moisture. Propolis is 'nature's best kept secret from beehive'. It is collected by bees from trees, flowers. It is known of its healing antiseptic and restorative capabilities. 

I am a big fan of honey. I use it in my tea and even I made a home DIY masks or my face and hair.  

Did you ever try honey sandwich? My grandma always made it for me. All you need is a slice o rye bread, but some butter and then pour some honey :) Enjoy :) 

Now lets get back to this amazing serum before I will have to go the kitchen and make myself a sandwich.   

I been using it or a month or so. I been using every morning before I apply my makeup, but after I was my face. It works great as a primer. It goes on smoothly and absorbs very fast.Leaves my skin silky soft. One pump goes a long way. It does have a scent to it, which is really pleasant. 

It didn't break me out, it didn't make my skin dry. Hey Honey serum is not tested on animals and it is paraben free. 

Overall I really been enjoying it. It is great or all types of skin even the ones with sensitive skin (which I have). It did work great under my makeup and it kept my skin flawless looking all day. 

I am really looking forward to try more products of Hey Honey.

Dermaesthetics Beverly Hills ~ Korean Skin Care Line

I wanted to write a review of these two products for a while now. I really don't know what took me so long. 

Anyways I want to introduce you to new (to me) Korean Skin Care Line. Founded by Dr. Anne Lee, who with help form her friends and family launched in Beverly Hills new skin care line. Products sold globally all over Asia, Americas and Middle East. 

I received form them 3 products to test.I will be only writing about two of them. the 3rd one didn't worked for me. I wish it could but oh well, I will send it over to my mom and I will later write a review on what my mom think of it :)

Lets start with Green Apple Premium Cleansing Oil ~ is Macadamia Nut oil based pre- cleanser, used to clean away all the makeup, sunblock and oil on the surface of the face. With the power blend of Macadamia Oil and Vitamin E and other natural extracts this water soluble cleansing oil breaks down makeup leaving skin fresh and ready for next cleansing step. It can be use around eye and mouth area. 

This cleanser works so good. Removes my stubborn makeup with ease. I find it works really great on my eyes and when I wear liquid lipsticks ( you know the kind that only oil based makeup remover can remove). Super easy to use. Just pumped few drops on my dry hands and rub into my skin. To take it off, I wet my fingers in a warm water and massage until turns white. Wash it off and use makeup wipe to get off the rest of the makeup and oil form m face . Then I reach for my daily cleansing gels and finish my routine. I also found it works great for my oily skin. It don't make it more oily or what so ever.

Definitely is a must try product. Also I does have  smell to it. Not really annoying ( like some can be) This one is really pleasant. 

My daily skin routine I finish with Clear Complex PM Purity Gel ~ I can't even express how much I love this gel! Its a gel that is to be used night time only and it is formulated to be used on breakouts skin types. For me is the best on all the 'surprise' zits/pimples I get once in a while. Simply after I finish washing my face I apply this gel at the very end. It can be used as a all over or just on the spots. I prefer spots. Whenever I see a pimple coming out I apply the gel on. One time I was getting one on my chin and it hurt like crazy. You know , if you have a acne problem that they do hurt a bit. So I applied the purity gel on it and the next morning the pimple was smaller and it didn't hurt at all.! Life saver! So whenever I get my surprise zits this little bottle is coming to my rescue and keeps them at bay! ;) 

I am so pleased with both products. Both works great for me and I continue using them all the time. Such an amazing staple in my skin routine. Highly recommend them to you.
