Matte Liquid Lipstick Collection by Alter Ego

*purchased by me*

This isn't the first time I'm showcasing this brand on my blog. But whats not to love? I really do think that the quality if their products is outstanding! At this point I own all their eye shadow palette ( please come out with more!) and I was only missing lipsticks. They do have lashes but I don't wear those so it was an easy pass.

So liquid lipsticks :) I got them cheap like seriously cheap! They were buy 1 get 1 free., and each lipstick retails at $6. So if you do the math I paid $18 for 6 lippies and I am so happy :)

The shades are really up my alley and anyone who like nudes. The packing on these is so nice! I mean even the packing they do so good, so soft :) Even the lipstick component is so high end looking :) I like how is black at the top and then it go to see through so you can clearly see the shade of the lipstick. They all have doe foot applicator.
I tried them all on my lips and they all applied evenly. There was no patchiness, and when they dried out they wore really comfortably. There is small transfer but they are long lasting.

Shades I got:

* Jealousy - muted plum
* Intrigue - terracotta / brown nude
* Infamous - deep wine red
* Euphoria - mauve pink
* Vanity - deep crimson shade of red
* Crush- muted pink

From top: Euphoria, Crush, Intrigue, Jealousy, Infamous, Vanity

Which one is your fave? You can purchase them on ShopAlterEgo website.

CoverFX Monochromatic Blushes - Swatches

*purchased by me*

*** These babies are coming for FALL 21 Days of Beauty Event. They will be available at ULTA on September 10th . GET READY Ladies ! ***

As you can remember I got these blushes during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty Event.
There were half off (org. $38, got it for $19).
 You guys I been wanting them form the moment they launched but yeah spending $38 on a blush was to much for me.
It took me forever to decide what colors to buy... I did want them all and I will get the reaming colors at some point. I did a lot of thinking, watched YT videos and looked for swatches on blogs etc. Finally I made my mind up and added 4 shades in my cart just to delete one.. I went back later on to buy it but it was sold out. They did surprisingly sold out super fast.

Description from the brand:

The duo includes both a "monochromatic matte and shimmer shade" that can be used "individually or layer[ed] together." The blushes are described as having "high-impact payoff" with no other specifics. The consistency of the matte shades was incredibly silky, finely-milled, and smooth without being powdery--they were thinner but not difficult to apply and sat well on bare skin as well as over foundation. The pigmentation ranged from semi-opaque to opaque and was definitely buildable."

I got following shades:

* Mojave Mauve - perfect romantic dusty rose. warm matte and luminous pink duo gives this romantic look the the cheeks. This one is my fave.

* Pink Dahlia - pretty flush of pink. Contains matte coral and shimmery warm pink

* Soft Peach - a peachy nude shade gives sublets of flush to the skin for a fresh look

from the top Pink Dahlia, Soft Peach and Mojave Mauve

I have not worn all the blushes as yet. The only one I tested with full on makeup was Mojave Mauve. Gosh words can't describe how much I love that blush. The color was pigmented but blended so nice on the cheeks. Just keep the pigmentation in mind and don't pick up much product if you have fair skin tone. I applied both shades on and it did give a beautiful radiant flush.
These are really worth it. You get two blushes in one compact. I do understand that $38 is not for everyone, so my advice- wait for some kind of sale :)

5 Products That Did Not Work For Me...

*purchased by me*

Products that did not work...
I know I always post all that I like and I would recommend. But now is the time to write about something that didn't work for me. Hey! It might have worked for you tho :) No hard feelings :)

* Pur 4 in 1 Love your selfie Foundation - this foundation have a cult of following. Most of beauty bloggers loves it. And me? Well not so much ... I actually went to launched party last year and it was amazing. I got few samples and right of the bat while using sample I could tell it was a no no.
No idea why. I thought it was an oily skin friendly....  I tried many times and with many primers and still it look so bad on my skin... Maybe the shade was wrong? No clue... All I can tell it was really bad. It sink into lines looked all cakey and dry on my skin. Tell you not a good sight.... Such a shame ...

* Physicians Formula Butter Blush in the shade Plum Rose - let me start that I love PF butter collection :) But this particular shade is not good. I order it online thinking it will be this beautiful glowy blush like the picture and what I got was far from that. Its a really soft dusty pink, too soft for my liking... and its more matte then shimmery/glowy. I tried to build it up on my cheeks but with no effect.

* Touch in Sol No Pore Blem Prime Essence - I Touch in Sol No pore blem primer I mention that I repurchased that already. I also like their glassy skin primer, but this? ... NO.... Its too watery and I notice I don't do much to my skin... I used maybe 5 times and each time I was not satisfy. Dunno I might give it a shot once again and if don;t work it gotta go bye bye.

* Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair hair mask - I don't this Briogeo is made for my hair. I swear everything I tried so far and I tired two products I didn't like. First is the mask. I love hair masks, my hair are always so soft and I can brush easily when I apply them. But this I been using countless times and each time my hair was dried out, it was so hard to brush through it... I could not figure out what was causing this... Finally after talking to my sis in law and my best friend we figure out it was the hair mask by Briogeo, and funny fact is that my sis in law and bff don't lie their hair products either. Both had same results as me, dry, tangled hair... Opposite of what Briogeo promised :( Sad. There is so many people out that that swears by this brand but it not for me sadly :( Like I mention there was one more products from them I had and didn't like but cant remember what it was and not sure if I still have it. If I do I will definitely mention in my next post.

* Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo - when you send your husband to buy you shampoo and he comes back with three same shampoos.... Oh well what could go wrong right? Pantene and I never had issues until now. Same story like with Briogeo it dried my hair and made them so heavy and tangley. I didn't like abit. So now my hubby and daughter use it :) Since I have 2.5 bottles left...

How about you? What you didn't like lately?

Revlon Skin Lights - Prismatic Bronze and Prismatic Glow ~ Swatches and Review

*purchased by me*

Revlon Hi! Wow its been ages since Revlon launch something so eye catching! I know these been out since Fall of 2019 but I got them fairly recently (think February 2020).

I mean how could I not pick this up! The look just drawn you in and telling "take me home with you"...
The Skin Lights collection includes 3 bronzers and 3 highlighters. I only have 2 of each and I went for the lightest shades duh ...

Lets start with bronzers and move to the highlighters at the end

Revlon SkinLights Prismatic Bronzer Claims

  • Innovative, light-reflective powder bronzer is infused with crystal-like pigments that give your skin a multi-dimensional (never flat) glow, so you can always capture your best light
  • Powder feels incredibly soft and silky, never chalky. (That’s because the pigments become one with your skin, so our bronzing powder feels weightless and gives off an even, polished effect)
  • We recreated a sun-kissed bronze with true-to-life golden and reddish tones for a believably warm finish, without unnatural glitter going on
  • Bronze it up with an all-over warm glow, or add definition with a little light contouring
  • Find your best bronze, with translucent-to-build-able coverage
  • More good news: This bronzer is made without fragrance or parabens
  • Available in 3 glowing powder bronzer shades
I bought two only :

* Sunlit Glow (110)

* Sunkissed Beam (115)

Revlon SkinLights Prismatic Highlighters Claims

  • This light reflective powder highlighter is infused with crystal like pigments that give your skin a multi-dimensional glow that never falls flat
  • Feels like silk! This isn't one of those chalky highlighters
  • Instead, this easy to apply, super smooth highlighter blends seamlessly into your skin, feels weightless and delivers an even radiance that look just like a natural glow
  • To be sure that glow looks natural, we use the prefect combination of pigments and just the right amount of shimmer (not glitter)
  • You control your glow: the build-able shimmer can range from sheer to beaming
  • Plus. this highlighter is made without fragrance or parabens
  • Available in 3 glowing powder highlighter shades
* Daybreak Glimmer (201) - pale champagne shade that looks absolutely beautiful

* Twilight Gleam (202) - pale gold.

Lets start that i love the print on both bronzer and highlight. Bronzer have more like a sand dunes design and highlighter a dragon scales :) Yes it does remind me of that :) Plus there might have been a high end product with similar design, not sure tho. I would have to look that one up.
Out of two bronzers the Sunlit Glow is more shiny then the Sunkissed Beam. There are tiny sparkle particles that make this bronzer more glowy and I must it does look good on the skin. Plus I think its a bit more cooler then the other one. Sunkissed Glow is more of a satin it does have a shine but not as much as the Sunlit Glow.  I wore both and both show up well on my skin tone. Just note that these are bronzers that supposed to give you a sunkissed look and they are not for contouring. Both bronzers look seamless and well blended on the skin.

From top to bottom : Sunlit Glow, Sunkissed Beam, Daybreak Glimmer, Twilight Gleam

Highlighters, oh I do love highlighters :) These two are just wow! They both go really smooth on the skin and look freaking amazing! There is some glimmer particles but I don't see them all over my face tho. I must say that Daybreak Glimmer is a better math for my skin, but the Twilight Gleam looks good as well :) Both are build-able and they apply give a wet kind a look on my cheek bones. I didn't notice that emphasize my pores or anything like that. I love it and I can see myself wearing this quite often :)

All powders worked really good on my light skin. And they are right now sitting inside my vanity, everyday drawer.

Colourpop Cosmetics Celestial Collection - 2 eye shadow palettes and 2 blushes - Swatches

* purchased by me*

Oh boy this order took forever to get here. Colourpop launched new Ulta Exclusive collection and well I needed ti get my hands on it. Its called Celestial and it includes 2 eye shadow palette, 2 blushes and 4 lip products (I think they were lip glosses , I didn't buy them tho).
I ordered it on April 18th and I got it two days ago.

 Oh don't let me started on packages and deliveries, this could have been a separately post LOL. Well packages are not only getting deliver late (hello pandemic situation) but also they gone missing... Some one stole or it was delivered wrong two of my packages and now my Boxy Charm Adds on are God know where? Shipped via UPS transferred to USPS and both carries have no idea where the package it ... You know what those two packages that went missing i think it was my new neighbor.... I saw one "new" person two weeks ago with my package in their hand... I swear I am stilling in my bedroom every day and i am on a lookout for deliveries ... no joke... as soonest I see mailmen or delivery guy I run to pick up boxes. So now I am doing good I get all the packages and there was no issues, except the one that the new guy was holding my box.. I met him half way in the hallways and said THAT"S MY PACKAGE! I bet you that were the new people who stole it.. Apparently there is like 5-6 of them and they don't even know each others... Oh well I can't prove it tho, just asked my landlord to get a camera outside lets see if she does it or not.

Sorry I got side tracked, I know you are here to read about the new CP collection and I come at you with my issues and package problems :) Well there is no one else I can talk to so it has to be you :) Aren't you glad you my friend :)

But back to the business and new launch by Coloupop :) The Celestial collection include two small bundles: She's Got Solstice and All Things Equinox. So as you can tell by the main picture I picked up both but I left out glosses... wonder why I did that? LOL I don't own any of the new Lux Glosses ... hmmm Let me see if they are available and lets order :) Coz why not?! What's another other that will wait two weeks or more to be shipped hahaha. But I gotta give it to ULTA, they are way faster then Sephora when it comes to processing orders.   So thumbs up!

Let's start with She'd Got Solstice, as I am pretty sure this palette will be the more popular one. You can tell why right? More wearable, more safe and neutral so everyone's safe zone mine included hahaha. Let's start with dreamy outer packaging :) We have a Sun with little star sparkles throughout. It comes in heavy duty cardboard palette, no mirror. The shades are absolutely stunning and go really well with all the visual outer packaging. Pictures don't do they justice, you need to see this one in person.  Super Stardust is a super-shock formula and to achieve the best results I suggest to apply with your finger .

Shades:

  • So Sirius: flippy gold
  • Big Bang: pale baby pink
  • Quasar: coral terracotta
  • Nova: nude clay
  • Estrella: pink coral with a gold flip
  • Super Stardust: mid-tone bronzey gold
  • Marz: icy moss with a silver sheen
  • Earth Angel: pinky coral
  • Chromosphere: deep red brown

Along with the palette I picked up corresponding blush, Meteor Rite (get it ?). I mean the names they come up with are always awesome! So the blush comes in the same packaging like the palette, same print on the box, same cardboard that housed the blush. The only difference is that that this one have a mirror.  Its described as warm terracotta and seriously it kinda looks like a bronzer. Swatched wise. When applied with brush it goes on very sheer and can buildup to the color you want. I like that :) I am not a fan of nude blushes but this changed my mind :)

The second small collection is All Things Equinox, a cooler and purple-mauve-y toned palette. The design is same as with the She's Got Solstice. We have a sun, with sparkle stars but the package color is purple and limy green. The eye shadows are stunning and I understand why they might not be everyone's cup of tea. But holy smokes I like it and I like it a lot! This palette is cool eye shadow lovers dream:)  Just be careful with Nebula, it kicks a lot of powder.

Here are the shades:

  • Kindred: icy pastel lilac
  • Infinity: icy beige taupe
  • Sky High: pale purple toned grey
  • Stellar: pastel lavender with pink sparkles
  • Moonrise: mauve purple with a golden flip
  • Lil Dipper: taupey mauve
  • Nebula: midtone mauve
  • Intergalactic: purple mauve with a blue sheen
  • Aleter Ego: midtone purple with silver flecks

I just found one discrepancy with this is mainly the name. When I was searching to see any swatches (after I purchased) this palette was coming up but had different name - Up and Atom. So whats the deal? Was the name changed last minute? I really want to know.

Now blushy blush :) This one is called Interstellar and its described as mid toned pink. It looks dark on the packaging but trust me it won't go as deep on your cheeks, it can be build up to a desired color :)

Both this blush as well as the other are matte :) Great coz sometimes you really need a matte blush :) And me lately been buying all shimmery blushes LOL. So its good for a change :)

I actually love this collection (nothing new here hahaha I love every Colourpop collections) its a great addition to my always growing Colourpop Family :) I say ever growing coz I need to find a new space for all of them :) I have palette stuck in small box that is running out of space=, plus other products are all over my room, uhmmm beauty room :) I want to keep all my Colourpop in one place, like I do with my MAC Cosmetics :) They have a one drawer in my Alex , but then again my MAC collection is wayyyyy smaller then Colourpop :) Oh IKEA please open up! I need me some new ALEX drawers pronto!

The only thing I would add is a dark shades in both palettes. You know to deep in up the outer corner... I feel like that is missing in both palettes.

Ah prices sorry! I forgot LOL. Palettes retail @ $14 and blushes at @ $10 each. Now lets go and order more lippies :)

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon - Colourpop x Sailor Moon - Eye Shadow Palette swatches

*purchased by me*

Dang it!!!! this collection was a no joke. It kinda brings us back to when MAC used to launch new collection that would sell out in minutes and you needed be really really fast. Do you remember that times? Like I log in few hours later and there was nothing left, nothing! And I have no idea when its coming back.
On March 15th it launched at ULTA and guys same story sold out within minutes! I managed to grab eye shadow palette. As a huge fan of Sailor Moon I wanted the whole thing!  Now I just have to wait, god knows how long... ugh .

So while I am waiting for the rest to come back to stock lets me show you the eye shadow palette.
As I mention I order it from ULTA Beauty for $20. Along side with that I grabbed 5 ABH Brow Wiz coz they were discounted to $11 for 21 days of Beauty Event :) Last year I bought two and I run out so fast... Back to the palette.

12 pan eyeshadow palette is fan dream. I do think it does resemble the series as all. Its stunning, soft with pretty neutrals, pinks and purples. I brings back childhood memories. I even got my daughter hooked on sailor moon and we are watching it on youtube :)
This palette is very soft almost pastely. I created one look so far and it came out good. Shades did apply evenly and blended nicely with no problems. I feel like this palette is a great transition to the Spring :) Kinda getting Sweet Talk vibes, as that one was also light and soft.

There is glitter in the palette of which I am not a fan of. I do think they are pretty but well not for me.
The packaging is on the point. It have very girly and again pastley aesthetics. Cardboard box feature Usagi and Luna and the palette itself have this moving Image of Usagi in love :) Her mouth changes when you flip the cover back and forward. I think its cute!

Shades:

* Shinning Moon - pale peach with hot pink pinpoints
* Twilight Flash - Vibrant tangerine
* Sliver Crystal - soft pink with gold flip
* Moon Castle - soft coral
* Full Moon - yellow orange with gold flip
* Silver Millennium - Yellow Gold
*Mare Serenitatis - mid tone pink with pinpoints of gold
* Luna - iridescent lavender
* Justice - yellow with gold and silver pinpoints
* Tuxedo Rose - vibrant coral with silver pinpoints
* Love - rosey pink with silver pinpoints
*Miracle Romance - orchid

Overall I feel like this palette resemble the anime and overall Usagi character ( I prefer Usagi then Serena). I would love to see at some point a follow up collection. Maybe they could do what they did with Disney and make Sailor Moon Villains or just include other Sailor Senshi and not only Sailor Moon.
