NEW NARS Solstice Collection ~ Is it worth buying? Swatches and Review

Who am I? Like seriously!? I was never the one to jump on the NARS wagon and order a new launch as soon as it drops... NEVER! NARS is one of the brands that do have exciting launches but I mostly wait till they are on sale before I spend my hard working paycheck.

I really have no idea why I just  fell instantly in love with the new collection. I really have no idea what sold me. LOL I think the overall look of both palettes was so beautiful and something that I needed to have asap. Spoiler alert: they don't disappoint! 

Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette - LE- it's a perfect warm and rich summer palette. There is a mixture of shimmers and metallics, alongside two matte shades. The color story is very me and I think the golden,  brozy, reddish looks are so summery. The shadows itself feel and work amazing. They are pigmented, you get full opacity with one stroke of a brush or like in my case finger. I will always say and stand by that shimmers and metallics formulas best performed when applied with fingers. Apparently the vivid warm shades are formulated with the brand's Pigment Power Suspension, which delivers ineradicable color payoff thanks to pigments suspended in an innovative liquid bidding system. Like I said, they are really a pleasure to work with. Also they can be sheared out for a perfect wash of color on the lids. I personally am really impressed with this palette and I hope to see this formula more.

I almost forgot to mention the packaging on this palette. I am amazed at how stunning it is! The textured sun rays?! Hello Summer!

Next is the beautiful but a bit over priced bronzer and highlighter duo

Summer Solstice Cheek Duo - LE - When you get a cheek duo that is the same price as the palette it has to be good. This duo is made up with highlighters called Ibiza and bronzer Laguna.  These two are NARS best selling bronzer and highlight. I knew of Laguna being super popular but not about Ibiza. When getting, please note that the bronzer has an over-spray that will be gone once you dip your brush in. Now how do I like it? Well I love them. Especially when both are mixed together, they give such a wonderful summer ready sun-kissed glow on my light skin. Both are so pretty on their own as well but I like to just go in and swirl my brush between both. Also I notice a very nice almost tropical scent, which I'm not mad about. I think it suits the duo a lot! The packaging on the cheek duo is the same as on the palette, it has the same sun rays texture design but instead of being gold like the eyeshadow palette, this one is copper.

Final thoughts: I LOVE IT. I have never been head over heels about NARS but this collection just opened my eyes and I can't wait for new launches :)

Patrick Ta Monochrome Moment Velvet Blushes ~ Swatches

HI Loves~ Welcome back. I got a fun and blushy post for you today. And I am talking about no other then Patrick Ta. I been dying for his blushes for quite some time now. I can't even tell you how many times I been in and out of Sephora just swatching the blushes. I mean each and every time I stop by his blushes and I was telling myself that one day I get my hands on it. The on;y question was to ask was "which shade will I pick up"? Fast-forward at least a year later and here I am with not one but three blushes! All thanks to IPSY. 

IPSY recently (February) launched a new tier in their subscription and its called Glam Bag X. I was lucky enough to get off the wait list and I got my first amazing box in February. And in that box, you guessed Patrick Ta blush. One down two more to go! IPSY had three shades to offer in boxes and after looking around Facebook pages I was able to purchase two more. 

Patrick Ta is world know makeup artist, and his makeup line is absolutely beautiful. Definitely my type of aesthetics, with gold, rose gold packaging and beautiful shade selection. For now I only have these 3 blushes but rest be assure it will grow overtime because I have few items on my wish-list. 

Monochrome Moment Velvet Blushes are just like the name suggest, velvety. These are very subtle and can be build up to desired color. They give natural look without being right in your face. Sometimes you just need to tone down your blush and these babies come in handy. Brush picked the powder up with easy and blends nicely on the skin. The pan of it its quite large so you won't hit "pan" that fast.

Foundation Edit ~ My top 2 Favorite Foundations at the moment ~ Charlotte Tilbury and Maybelline

I have not talk foundation in like forever! 

Just want to quickly say/write few words on two foundations I been enjoying lately. 

It's so funny, as I am writing this I am testing/trying out a new drugstore foundation and ... I am liking it a lot you guys. So, yeah just a heads up, that I am not done with foundations yet. \

Anyways. I have two products, one drugstore and one high end. 

Maybelline Super Stay and CT Magic Foundation. 

 * Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation is a new to me. By new I mean I got is roughly few weeks ago and I had enough time to see if I like it and over all how it works with my skin. CT is a luxury makeup brand that recently launch in Sephora.  And with that I want to say Congratulations CT I am so happy for the lunch ! I am so excited to actually touch and play with the products before buying it. It just made my life so much easier. Not gonna lie that I been lusting after CT makeup for a while now. I love reading all the UK blogs and just dream that one day I can build up my collection just like some of them have. 

I was send this foundation along with a eyeshadow quad for a review.  I have not yet played with the palette but the foundation, like I said became a staple in my routine. 

This is a full coverage foundation with demi matte finish.  I used both brush and sponge to apply it. I do prefer a sponge coz it gives more natural not to heavy finish. I like it. Foundation comes in the most beautiful glass bottle with rose gold detailing. It looks so good on my vanity! I am so into the rose gold and marble anything. Just saying :) Once you open the cap you find very nice pump :) I do love foundation with pumps. The texture is on a thick side. But I find it works good with blending sponge as opposed to brush. Like I mention above, sponge gives more natural finish. The only only one part of my face that don;t like this foundation is my nose. Seriously! It looks sooo good everywhere else! I don't know what to do anymore tbh. I tried to put extra primer, extra moisturizer on  my nose and nothing. Anyways it don't matter coz I love the way it looks on me (aside the nose) LOL. I forgot to mention I have in shade 3. I believe 2 would be good as well. Let me get a sample and see :)  

The wear time is pretty good too. I usually apply my makeup early morning 7am, and I start to get oily around 3-4pm. But nothing that blotting paper and powder can't fix. 

So that would be it. I do think this foundation is really good and my combo/oily skin wears it pretty good.

My 2nd go to foundation is a lot more affordable ~ Maybelline Super Stay 24h Foundation in shade .

I picked this one without planning it tbh. I went to CVS, printed my coupons and I for some $$$ off Maybelline. So why not. I already had some extra bucks waiting to be spend. Now, I don't know how other CVS around the country are but my is a total mess. Almost everything is open, swatched and basically garbage. Let me tell you that I been trying to buy Touch of Spice lipsticks for a few years now. Everywhere I go all of the lippies are swatched or broken. I guess I will be ordering from Ulta from now on. Back to foundation. The lady who works there recommend the Super Stay foundation. She was actually wearing it and ummm it didn't look good on her to be honest. But fine I picked it, thinking it would look better on me, and it did. Thank God.

Just like the CT Magic Foundation, this is also a full coverage. Best applied with a blending sponge. I used once a brush and I was looking just like the girl from my CVS. Full coverage and cakey. Sorry but no. Again blending sponge comes to the rescue and makes this foundation apply so nicely, gives really natural finish and covers what ever need to be cover. I like and I been using it on and off for past 6 months at least. Just like the CT, wears nicely though out the day. I notice the shine on my skin around same time as the CT one. I think this one cost around $10-$12 and it is really worth it.

I am super excited for this post! I will be talking about Dr.Brandt Xtend Your Youth Dual Fusion Water. Yes I know such a long name. But anyways, I am so happy to finally try famous Dr.Brandt skin care! I swear I see it everywhere, youtube, Instagram and other blogs. I really don't need to introduce the brand to you, I bet you know it already.

Dr.Brandt Xtend Your Youth Dual Fusion Water have been my 'go to' makeup remover for past weeks.Well alongside with my L'occitane cleansing oil. I been switching between both and OMG both are amazing. Love them!

The 2 in 1 antioxidant micellar water, traps oil and removes makeup residue. 

Anyways micellar waters are great solution for removing makeup altogether. Fast and easy. 

This is not my first micellar water I ever use, but it is one of the best if not the best. Some can irritate your skin and most importantly your eyes. I know it happen to many of us. I hate when makeup remover gets into your eyes and they burn like crazy, even though it says: gentle on eyes... No!

But this Xtend dual Fusion water is amazing! I removed my eye makeup with it and it did not irritate my eyes! It is really gentle on eyes and skin. Removes makeup fantastically!When to remove my eye makeup I just soak a bit  a cotton round and just press onto my eyes and hold it for about a minute and then padded off. Mascara melts off and it removes with ease. ame with eyeshadow. Same with my face. Removes all makeup in two cotton rounds. Leave my skin clean and refreshed. It didn't break me out either. 

It is fragrance free and dermatology and safe for people with contact lenses. 

Non sticky and non greasy. 

The only thing is I don't know on how good it is when it comes to waterproof mascara. Since I don't us them quite often, It works great with regular mascara tho. 

Also did you know you can use it as a toner? Yes, your can! 

After removing my makeup, I still use a facial cleanser no matter how good makeup remover is. I pour a bit onto cotton round and padded allover my skin, then follow with moisturizer. It works great with all my skin care and I say it is a must have for me!

I actually forced my husband to try it, he is such a pain in the butt when it comes to trying out beauty stuff LOL. I know he is a guy, but come on guys need a pamper time too! I made a deal with him and I let him try it. He almost jumped out his chair when the mask started to frizz! He had to go and look into mirror to see the mask foaming. He told me that it felt great. Mask made his skin softer and more hydrated.

Now let me go and hide it! coz if he likes something trust me it will be gone before I know it! 

I am not lying this mask is awesome! I highly recommend to every one to try it!

All I say its mind blowing! I am so obsessed with it and I cant sleep at night... for real. Since I saw a post on Trendmoods instagram I'm competently hooked up. 

The packaging reminds me of Winter Wonderland. Classy and Chic :)

Last year I said same, that I will be getting the Meteorites but last minute I changed my mind. But this time ... hell no! I need new Meteorites and Lipstick! I mean just look at the packaging and tell me that you don't feel drawn to it. But look inside of Meteorites box you can see snowflakes! a snowflakes! how magical is that?! and the packaging of the lipstick? Beautiful silver with snowflakes on. Yes I love it and yes I'm crossing few items form my holiday wish list and I'm adding these babies on!
