NEW NARS Solstice Collection ~ Is it worth buying? Swatches and Review

Who am I? Like seriously!? I was never the one to jump on the NARS wagon and order a new launch as soon as it drops... NEVER! NARS is one of the brands that do have exciting launches but I mostly wait till they are on sale before I spend my hard working paycheck.

I really have no idea why I just  fell instantly in love with the new collection. I really have no idea what sold me. LOL I think the overall look of both palettes was so beautiful and something that I needed to have asap. Spoiler alert: they don't disappoint! 

Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette - LE- it's a perfect warm and rich summer palette. There is a mixture of shimmers and metallics, alongside two matte shades. The color story is very me and I think the golden,  brozy, reddish looks are so summery. The shadows itself feel and work amazing. They are pigmented, you get full opacity with one stroke of a brush or like in my case finger. I will always say and stand by that shimmers and metallics formulas best performed when applied with fingers. Apparently the vivid warm shades are formulated with the brand's Pigment Power Suspension, which delivers ineradicable color payoff thanks to pigments suspended in an innovative liquid bidding system. Like I said, they are really a pleasure to work with. Also they can be sheared out for a perfect wash of color on the lids. I personally am really impressed with this palette and I hope to see this formula more.

I almost forgot to mention the packaging on this palette. I am amazed at how stunning it is! The textured sun rays?! Hello Summer!

Next is the beautiful but a bit over priced bronzer and highlighter duo

Summer Solstice Cheek Duo - LE - When you get a cheek duo that is the same price as the palette it has to be good. This duo is made up with highlighters called Ibiza and bronzer Laguna.  These two are NARS best selling bronzer and highlight. I knew of Laguna being super popular but not about Ibiza. When getting, please note that the bronzer has an over-spray that will be gone once you dip your brush in. Now how do I like it? Well I love them. Especially when both are mixed together, they give such a wonderful summer ready sun-kissed glow on my light skin. Both are so pretty on their own as well but I like to just go in and swirl my brush between both. Also I notice a very nice almost tropical scent, which I'm not mad about. I think it suits the duo a lot! The packaging on the cheek duo is the same as on the palette, it has the same sun rays texture design but instead of being gold like the eyeshadow palette, this one is copper.

Final thoughts: I LOVE IT. I have never been head over heels about NARS but this collection just opened my eyes and I can't wait for new launches :)

NARS Unfiltered | and Unfiltered || Blush palettes ~ swatches

NARS is one of the brands that I want to look more into this up coming year. I own few products but I want more. I see on IG some girls have a beautiful and huge collections of NARS products. I want it too. You can be a makeup junkie without NARS in you collection. 

So I decide to start my NARS  collection with a big bang! I bought two new blush palettes form Spring 2017 collection. Well, I was supposed to get only one but I couldn't decide which I like more so $120 later I am a proud owner of two gorgeous palettes :) 

Each blush palette includes 6 powder blushes. 5 limited edition shades and one re promote.  both come in sturdy packaging with mirrored surface. I actually like the packaging a lot. One is red and second one is pink.

Unfiltered I is more warmer and suitable for darker skin tones. But come on I had to have it coz of Exhibit A blush :) I know I can get it anytime but it just look fabulous in the palette and well other blushes are just as stunning. "Watch Me" is a gorgeous highlight! Ah cant wait to use it.

Unfiltered II is cooler and  suitable for lighter skin tones (hence Me :) ) this one have lovely pinky and mauve shades. I am not a pink blush kinda gal but damn this palette is gorgeous.

I actually cant tell you which I like more. Both have pretty and unique shades. Both are simply stunning. So if you have a founds get both if not choose the one that will suit you better :)

"New Order" Highlighting Blush & "Eros" Lip Lacquer by NARS

Let me show you my two newest additions to my makeup collection.

NEW ORDER Highlighting Blush 

form the first swatch I knew this would work better as a highlight then blush. Unless you want your cheeks to sparkle then go ahead. Blue based pink with golden  shimmer , let's just call it magical fairy dust shall we?. It shows up very sheer, you can see the pink base but hardly. The glitter is just the right size. I don't get much fallout with it. Love how glowy it looks on my cheekbones, just gorgeous! This magical fairy dust is captured in black, slick compact with NARS name written on top. Typical NARS packaging. I been really enjoying this highlighter. It might not be a for everyone, especially the ones who don't like glitter on their cheeks.

EROS Lip Lacquer 

 first off let me state that I never knew NARS had this type of product. I actually saw a video once and someone was talking about NARS Lip Lacquers. Of course once I google them they were discontinue and no one expect FragranceNet.com was caring it. Well they might did but the price was twice more then whats on FragranceNet.Com website. This Lip Lacquer is amazing! If you have it then you are a lucky gal! I really been loving it! It is a gorgeous raspberry or rosy nude color with shimmer. Color pay off is sheer but you can build it up. It show on me after two applications. The formula is a bit sticky but it last longer then regular gloss. Shiny finish and shimmer make my lips appear fuller then they are. I apply with a lip brush on my lips or over a lip liner, depends on what I am in mood for.

As you can say I am so happy with my NARS products. I am telling you FragranceNet.Com have so much to offer at best prices. Definitely need some more NARS! They even have Audacious Lipsticks!

What I got for Christmas 2015.

I saw this post on many blogs and since I love to read and see what other got for Christmas, I decided to show off my Christmas goodies. 

Our Christmas was fun. We  open our gift on 25th and it is always so much fun, especially for my daughter. This year I got lots of makeup and gift cards. Some makeup products I can finally cross off my wishlist, YaY!

But Sssshhhhhh some of the gifts I bought it myself. Because I like to spoil myself once in a while...

Hubby stepped out his game and finally bought me gift I always wanted ~ Urban Decay Naked 3 and YSL Rouge Valupte Lipstick. I think he could't hear me anymore complaining that I want Naked 3 and one of the YSL lippies in a pretty gold packaging. ( sorry no pic of the lippie)

My mom send me $$$ so I went ahead and grabbed Tarte Cosmetics Limited Edition Eye lash Curler. Which of course I don't have a picture of. You can see it above in a makeup mess photo.

And form my co worker I got Kat Von D LoLLITA set and Too Faced Melted Set.

And of course form Snow I got SVEN ! my new blogging buddy! I was happy like a kid! LOL. Sophia got Olaf and I got Sven :) Now Sven is blogging with me everyday. He will be my inspiration for future blog posts and he will make sure I post more often then I did before.

Aminar (hubbys cousin) gave Colourpop! Love Colourpop ;) I got Frida Lippie Stick, Super shock eye shadow  'Squin' ,Blush 'Between the Sheets' and Highlight 'Lunch Money'.

As for me I found few gems at Nordstorm Rack:

Michael Kors Nail Lacquers ~ I wanted to get all the colors. There were only 5 in a bin but I got only 4 ;( , girl before me grabbed this gorgeous purple !!!! Ughhhhhh! makes me wanna cry!

NARS Lip and Nail Set ~ I actually wanted to get dual intensity eyeshadow palette, but all were shattered and broken ;( Sad that people don't care and treat makeup like this. All eye shadow palettes were broken :( I only got this set. I will do a separate post later on it and show you guys swatches :)

At Sephora I grabbed Urban Decay Vice 4 palette for only $39!!!! And after Christmas with my gift cards I went to Sephora again and bought New Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette and Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette. 

And the biggest gift will soon come. I will order a vanity and Alex 9 drawer for my babies! Cant wait ! I have so much makeup that gets out of control.
