New! Urban Decay Cosmetics ~ Naked Cherry and Elements Palettes ~ Sneak Peek

I don't often post sneak peeks but I could not help myself!

Imagine your day, sitting at work, busy like hell, thinking ... let me check my IG and see how my pictures doing. You open your Instagram and the fist thing you see is the new  Urban Decay Elements palette! <3 I had hearts in my eyes! I had to show my coworker coz he asked my why I was holding my breath LOL! It is stunning and well it will be mine! 

I quickly reposted and went back to work. 

Now I have a bit of time to really see the palette and the colors. I love it! I just hope the colors are pigmented and blend-able. I really can't wait for it to hit the shelves coz I need to swatch it!

Like an hour later, Trendmood posted a new Naked palette by UD ~ Naked Cherry! We all heard the sad news that very first Naked palette is being discontinue... Thank God, Ulta beauty had it in stock and I was able to order it. NOw back to Cherry palette :) loving the packaging and the cherries! How adorable! And the shades in the palette look really pretty and kinda remind me of AHB Modern Renaissance palette. Btw I today I bought NORVINA palette and can't wait to play with it. 

Cherry palette is the reason that I NEED to ask my boss for a rise. Dude! all the new Holiday makeup will dry my bank account! for sure!

I also saw a pic of Cherry makeup spray, so I am  guessing there will be a full cherry collection :)

Brand Focus ~ Nyakio Beauty

Nyakio Beauty, owned by  first generation American of Kenyan descent, Nyakio Grieco. Ever since she was  little girl she spent a lot of time traveling to Kenya to see her grandmother. While there, Nyakio would learn family beauty secrets, that  later would spark her interest in skin care.

Her 16 piece skin care collection launched at Ulta Beauty few months ago.  

It is priced form $22 to $49. The brand uses amazing hydrating ingredients like neroli, maracuja, sweet almond and marula oil. Most of her faboulus ingriedients can be found all over the globe, Kenya, India (tamanu), Egypt (chamomile), Mali (baobab), Peru (quinoa).

I really like how the inside of the packaging looks like! 

I have 4 products that I will share my opinion on :)

Sweet Almond Cleansing Oil Balm ~  I really love the idea of double cleanse. For a quite some time I been using oils first and than I would follow up with my cleansing gel or balm. This balm to oil gently melts away makeup and dirt. it Smells wonderful too! Too be honest with this particular product i don't even need to follow up with any other cleansing products. It literally take it all off. But there is a con with this. If you take it off with water it get so greasy! like I need to use a paper towel to clean up all the,mess. Once that is done my skin does feel hydrated and clean. There is no makeup or greasy residue left.  I believe that people with dry skin would love this cleansing oil balm.  I am not a fan. I use L'Occitane  Cleansing oil and I think it works better in my opinion :) $28

Baobab Youth Infused Daily Defense Creme ~ Oh my goodness this creme smells so good! Moisturizer feels really lightweight and absorbs quickly leaving skin so soft and beautiful. My skin feels hydrated with out being greasy. I use it night time . for day time I reach for moisturizer with spf in it.  $35

Chamomile Soothing Sleep Mask ~ this ultra hydrating overnight facial mask instantly quenches skin with intense, lasting moisture and nourishment. This comforting cream works with skin's natrual nighttime recovery process to calm and rejuvenate tired looking skin with soothing blend of Chamomile, Calendula and Aloe Vera, With that said this is by far my favorite product.  Oh god how I love sleep masks! I do think they work wonders to the skin. And this one is no different/ Especially now, I been working a lot and myself and my skin feels tired. Once I apply this mask at least three times a week I can see a difference! My skin feels hydrated, calm and  well rested. I use it with Baobab daily moisturizer. I have to say once its on my face I feel more relax and I sleep better :) Definitely a must have in my routine . $35

Kenyan Coffee Lip Polish ~ did someone say coffee? Another great product by the brand. Lip scrubs and any kind of lip polishes are my jam. Well hello I been wearing matte liquid lipsticks and you know they are drying as hell. So a good scrub is a must have to get rid of the dry skin off my lips. I simply squeeze small amount and rub on my lips. I rinse with warm water. My lips feel really soft and plump :) After words I apply a lip balm for extra moisture. $24

Overall this brand is pricey I know , but at the same time is good. They use organic and natural ingredients and plus its cruelty free! No harmful ingredients what so ever. My personal favorites is the duo that I use night time Baobab creme and Chamomile Mask.

CHI Rose Hip Hair Care

Ok so I have never try any hair care products from CHI. I do use their styling tools daily but never hair care. 

I recently go their new line Rose Hip and I love it. First off the scent is amazing. When i sprayed dry shampoo on my hair, my daughter walked to the room and asked what spray I used coz she want to smell same. It does smells delicious.
What is rose hip oil? Well rose hip oil comes form the seeds (of specific verity of roses) which are the fruit left behind after the rose have flowered and dropped its petals. Rose Hip Oil is harvested from the seeds and its vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to be very beneficial to skin and  hair.
The whole line is great for color treated hair, rose hip oil, vitamin C and antioxidants prevents color loss and increase shine :)

The key ingredients in the line:

* Rose Hip Oil ~ easy absorbing oil that aids in preventing of color fading.
* Silk~ helps strengthen and protect hair cuticles
 * Vitamin C and Antioxidants ~ rejuvenate hair and offers a color boost.
* UV protectant ~ protects form harsh sun rays that fade and dull color.

The product line contains:
* Color Nature protecting Shampoo ~ it gently cleanse color treated hair. I feel like it protecting my hair color form fading. Well the whole line does :)  It smells amazing. Comes with pump so it is really to use. You don't have to turn the bottle upside down and squeeze shampoo. On my long hair I use few pumps. I am afraid that i might run out soon LOL.

* Color Nature protecting conditioner ~ restore moisture into color treated hair and eliminate dull and dry hair. Same as a shampoo it comes in a bottle with pump. The consistency i a bit thicker then my other conditioner. I usually apply conditioner and hair mask same time and leave it on my hair for 5-10min. After my hair become super soft and manageable.

* Color Nature Recovery Treatment ~ helps to replenish moisture and strength hair with vitamin c and antioxidants that help reduce dryness and breakage while restoring hair. I use it after conditioning. I towel dry my hair a bit and apply treatment to my hair and wait for another 5min and then rinse with water.

* Color Nature Repair and Shine Leave-In Tonic ~ adds moisture, shine and  strengths week color treated hair. This can be used on dry or wet hair. I use it on dry. Feel like it works better for me. I tried on wet and I didn't like it. I don't apply too much on my hair. Just few sprays here and there.

* Color Nature Dry Shampoo ~ helps extend life of hair color and style by removing excess oil and eliminate odors in between shampooing. This by far is my favorite product. What can I say I am a sucker when it comes to dry shampoo. I love them all. Dry shampoos are a staple in my hair care. I try not to wash my hair so often so in between when my hair look greasy I spray dry shampoo :) This one smells amazing you guys! I didn't notice any white residue left in my hair. My hair is blonde so it would be hard to see. I try on my daughters hair and nothing. I really been loving it :)

* Color Nature Dry UV Protecting Oil~ finishing mist help maintain color radiance with UV protecting ingredients. Love the smell of this again. I love how beautiful my hair are after I spray it. They shiny and healthy. I use it after all my straightening/ styling done. It don't leave my hair greasy, or sticky. This and dry shampoo are my faves for he whole line :)

Overall I love this line. If you have color treated hair that need help try CHI Rose Hip Oil line :) I know you can get them at Ulta Beauty  (there is a sale at the moment so go and check it out ) and some other web places like Loxa Beauty and Farouk System.

Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick ~ Candy Cane ~ Holiday Collection

Let's stay in Holiday Spirit a bit more. I want to show you new Limited edition Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick in shade Candy Cane.  As I said it is limited edition and it launched with all Too Faced Holiday Collection 2016.  For Holiday collections Too Faced is the best. I don't know I love the brand :) I kinda missed out on last year collection. I was a little bit broke coz of all the bills and all so I couldn't afford any. This year I promised myself to get whatever I can from my holiday wishlist. From Ulta i am planning to pick up TF holiday palette and lipstick set and Let it Glow trio. I am considering to get Chocolate Shop as well (sephora exclusive) but I dunno I heard mixed reviews :( So I will see if I have any $$$ after I get what I want and I might pick up Chocolate Shop as well.

Now lets me get back to this gorgeous lipstick :) This is my very first Melted Liquid lipstick. I know Too Faced released many shades but my sophora carry only regular melted lipsticks not the liquid ones. I wanted to order online but well I want to swatch colors first. 

When I saw this one on a holiday display i took it without swatching :) The cute packaging and well the color is sooo xmasy! Too Faced describe this shade as a festive red but it actually is a raspberry bright pink.  SO I don;t know where they see red .. anyways I love the color.

It comes in festive red pink candy cane packaging with red and black accents. The lipstick is just as the ones in permanent line but the top is limited edition candy cane swirl :) or should I say pink ad red swirl. Now on the box it says that lipstick is peppermint mocha scented and ... it is :) I get hint of peppermint and mocha :) I read/heard in other bloggers reviews thier lipstick was lacking the scent. 

My does have it for sure. It is not overwhelming or anything but it is there. 

I don't know if the formula is same as the other melted liquid lipstick in collection but if it is I will be getting more. 

It applies really nice. full opaque color. Feels hydrating and not drying (thumbs up Too Faced). It set nicely on my lips and stays there for about 7h. I did have a lunch in between but hello still on mah lips :)  

This lipstick is a fun and sexy and my holiday this year will be raspberry pink :) 

And yeah I will be getting few for my family as a xmas gifts :)

Makeup Revolution The One Sticks ~ Blush, Highlight, Contour

Ah Makeup Revolution you simply amaze me with all your products. 

I recently got my hands on The One sticks. I have 4 but I am pretty sure there is more. 

The sticks come in a black plastic stick that is either matte or glossy they reflect a finish product hidden inside. The packaging kinda reminds me of  NARS Multiples but these ones are way cheaper :)

Sucks that I can't compare  them , sadly I don't own any NARS sticks. 

I have two matte The One Blush Sticks, The One Highlight Stick and The One Sculpt Stick.

The One Blush stick Matte Rush ~ bright, matte coral shade. This is such a beautiful Summer shade. I guess any coral shade is prefect for summer. matte Rush looks gorgeous on the lips and on the cheeks. It is intensely pigmented and gives amazing color payoff. I am personally not a big fun of corals but this one if applies light handed and blended looks beautiful. So before summer ends I better get more use out of it.

The one Blush Stick Matte Malibu ~ orangy brown shade, almost terracotta. as much as I love this color it is not for me. I tried to contour with it but it was too warm and too orangy on me. I bet it would look great on darker skin gals. Again the color pay off on this one is amazing. I still am trying to get use out of it. I do apply it lightly and blend with blending sponge. Some say that this a dupe for NARS Laguna, the only think is that this pulls more to orange side then Laguna that pulls more to brown side. 

The One Highlight Contour Stick ~ this is such a pretty highlight shade. As you know me I love highlighters! I more of a powder fan but hey I can still make a cream work too!. This one is beige based with enough shimmer to add glow to my complexion. It does feel a little slippery whenever your swatch it on the face or hand. I like it coz it is easy to blend plus I add a powder highlight on top of as well. The glow then is insane. It does contain tiny shimmers that I love! ;) There is many ways to apply this little guy. I used my fingers and I alies straight form the stick and then blended. Both ways worked fine for me. 

The One Sculpt Contour Stick ~ This is definitely my kind of contour shade coz it is on a cooler side. I don't apply too much , just a tiny bit and then blend (stippling brush or BB). I like how it look on my fair skin tone. Again pigmentation is awesome so if you a light skin you need just tiny bit. Don't over do it ! I like it more then Matte Malibu. 

Overall i am really impressed with The One sticks. They are creamy, they blend nice, color payoff is amazing. They retail for $9 on MUR USA website and ULTA.

Soap and Glory ~ Hand Food and The Righteous Butter ~ Review

Eeeekkkk! Im so excited for this post! I received a huge box form Soap and Glory PR Team few weeks ago and I been trying and loving their products! I am so happy that finally they are available here in USA! 

The Pink box contained more of makeup products since that that what Monica loves the most, but also I got two skin care products which recently I been love testing out.

Im telling you after trying both products I need more Soap and Glory ! 

Hand Food hand cream is a dream ! comes in cutest pink packaging :) I do love Soap and Glory packaging! they a so fun and pretty! so anyways I been loving this hand cream! The best one I tried so far! non greasy, hydrating  and smells freaking amazing! Contains Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow! Formula is light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I love to put it on night time an then during the day. I just love how it smells and how soft my hands feel. This is really a must have in my skin care / body care routine. Also one time when I post it on my snapchat one of my friends told me she love s it and suggest me to use it on my heels! I did and OMG'! yes it works amazing! My heels are more softer and they do feel better and less cracked. :) 

The Righteous Body Butter ~ smells just like Hand Food Hand Cream.  Comes in ginormous pink container. Again all the writing on, container looks really awesome!  Smells like spring, girly and fruity. Contains Shea Butter and Aloe Vera. Feels really soothing and moisturizing. Love to apply right after i come out of the shower. Love to rub into my skin ! my skin feels really moisturized and super soft. Consistency is pretty thick but is spreads really easy and it doesn't feel greasy at all.  I actually for night time I like to mix it with Whish Body Oil, day time I apply by itself.

Rose Gold Obssesion ~ Makeup Revolution

I don't know about you but I love anything rose gold! Starting with jewelry, continue with accessories, home decor and makeup packaging. Rose gold everywhere please :)
Like I said every time when I review MUR I am so happy that we finally are able to get it here in USA. Not all the products are here yet, but hopefully soon they will.
Recently I got three new products form famous and amazing MUR.
Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Palette and two lipsticks in rose gold tubes ( Diamond Life and Chauffeur). Let me tell you my thoughts on all the products :)

Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold - Ultra professional blush palette. I would not call it a blush palette though. Well maybe the last two shades. This palette is gorgeous! Simply beautiful and so summer appropriate. The colors are stunning! Nice selection  of shimmery shades rage form peaches, pinks, golden and coppers. I would call this a highlight palette more then a blush palette. The shades like I said are all sparkly and shimmery and blends into the skin so nice and leave a beautiful glow. That coppery bronze can be use to bronze up the skin a bit :) I remember Emilynoel yt when she was talking about her favorite palettes form MUR. As soonest I saw Golden Sugar 2 I said to myself I need to have it. What can I say I love sparkly shades and this one is filled with them :)

First Row:
* 1st shade is matte and its mauve- pink. Can be use a light blush just too add bit of  flush to your cheeks :)
* 2nd shade is shimmery peachy color. So pretty especially as a highlight or peachy blush topper
* 3rd shade golden champagne color and OMG by far my favorite and the most used one. i adore this shade and I think this might be dupe for JH Champagne POP? I don;t know I have to check it out
* 4th shade is bronze blush shade. Its matte but it does have a small visible, tiny pink glitter in. Personally I would use it as a blush or either eyeshadow then bronzer.

Second Row:
* 1st shade light peachy highlight also one of my favorite in the palette. Looks amazing on the cheeks.
* 2nd shade is shimmery pink highlight. It can b use also as a blush topper.
* 3rd shade is gorgeous copper highlight. I would not use it as a highlight though coz I am way to pale but OMG it is gorgeous! and so pigmented in one swipe. If you can dust very light handed on the skin I bet it would look breathtaking!
* 4th shade is tanned peachy nude blush. This shade is matte with no shimmer or sparkles whatsoever. This could be use as a bronzer or ca be topped with that coppery shade (they do look pretty together)

Overall I been really enjoying this palette. The shades are pigmented and they do blend nicely.
If you like shimmery shades and highlights give it a try. I actually think this palette will be great for travels as well :) The palette comes in a standard black packaging that is a fingerprints magnet :(

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipsticks ~ Lipsticks in pretty rose gold packaging. The tubes remind me of MAC bullets but these are much lighter then MAC ones. I got my in Chauffeur and Diamond Life.
Chauffeur is pretty rosy nude shade.
Diamond Life is dark berry red. Not as dark as it looks in a tube but its this prefect berry color that everyone needs.

Lipsticks are super creamy and non drying. they can be build up or you can even layer them up with lips glosses and so on. I actually love Chauffeur, such a prefect nude!  Diamond life I was a bit scared ... When you look at the tube you see how dark the color is. But once swatched looks really pretty on!
The price point? you can beat it! $5 and you got a pretty looking lipstick with a long wear (4h tops for me ). There are I think 3 more shades in the collection and I am thinking of getting them too ! totally a #lipstickhoarder.

Palladio Beauty ~ Rice Paper

 Can we talk about my must have product? I was actually the most excited about it. 

And well I am talking about a Blotting paper. Yes! You read that right.

Blotting papers are my must haves! My skin is oily and I get really shiny during the day. 

I always carry oil absorbing tissues with me , always.I also make sure I have backups at home.

Palladio rice paper comes in package of 40 sheets. the tissue is really big too!

They have it available in 3 shades:

* Translucent ( no color)

* Beige ~ great for light skin gals

* Warm Beige ~  for dark skin gals.

let me tell you that this tissue is a bit different then your regular one. 

First off it comes with two sides. One side have a famous rice powder on and the other side have nothing, it is matte. 

On the box it will tell you to fist use the matte side and "mop" all of the excess oil form your face and then follow up with the powder side for touch-ups. 

And this the way I use my. I am really impressed with it One sheet gets the job done. With other oil absorbing tissues I had to use at least 3 to mattify my face. Tissue removes oil and shine with out me looking cakey. My makeup stays in place too!

Again I am pleasantly surprised with Palladio! Great Product

Makeup Revolution Shimmer Brick ~ Radiant

I don't have enough $$$ to splurge on Bobbi Brown Bricks, which are on my wishlist. But I found alternative product. Makeup Revolution Shimmer Brick. I have my in Radiant, which is a perfect match for light skin gal like myself.

Shimmer Strips are housed in black square plastic packaging. Lid is clear so you can see the color of the brick. The edges of the package are bit sharp so be careful. The packaging feels sturdy and and the lid closure is not bad. I don't think it will pop open in makeup bag and gives me a heart attack.

There is a total of 5 shimmer strips. They can be use as bronzers and highlights and even eye shadow. Yes that little brick is very versatile. You can use them separately or swirl them together to achieve ultimate glow.

 

The texture is really good. Powder is finely milled and pigmented. Champagne golden shimmers make a very decent highlight.

* coppery bronze

* champagne

* deep coppery bronze 

I know there is one more shimmer brick. Hopefully soon I can get my hands on it. Rose Gold shimmer brick is deeper and darker then this one and it will look gorgeous on dark skin gals and it would make a beautiful eye makeup. 

As you can tell I love MUR. Their products are amazing and very affordable.
