Maybelline SuperStay 24 Lip Color ~ review and swatches

I got recently chosen for a new voxbox by Influenster. This time I got to try two colors from Maybelline SuperStay 24 liquid lipstick. 

I like the lipsticks that I can wear all day with no need to touch up. Maybelline SuperStay gave me just that. 

I received two shades:

* Keep up the fames ~ red

* Constant Toast ~ nude.

Both colors are gorgeous :) Personally I find myself reaching more for nude but omg that red have my heart :)

As for the formula , I like it. Red applies much better than nude one. The color is more opaque and creamy and just looks so pretty on my lips. Nude well its more sheer and it sit in my lines on my lips (you know I mean?) it does not apply same as red that for sure. Plus once it dries it gives me glowy metallic sheen to my lips which with my oily skin was no no. I mean don't get me wrong i do like metallic finish but I need to mattify my face better wen I wear one. I think Constant toast look better under a nude lip liner. I tried under In the nude by essence and I really like it. I want to see how it will look under soft berry tho :) 

what i am impressed the most is the staying power. They do last very long on my lips. First, when you apply the liquid lipstick on you need to wait for it to dry. It will get all sticky and tacky and just yuck! but wait once its dry go over with the conditioning stick. That conditioning stick/balm locks on moisture and color.  Color stayed on my lips .. lets see ... I applied it around 7:30am and I saw that the color was wearing off from the middle of my lips around 4pm. I say not bad. The formula is so lightweight you cant feel it on the lips :) Plus the stick makes your lips hydrated. I notice drying by the 3:30pm. 

I was afraid of removing them tho. When I first swatched them on the back of my hand it was soooo hard and painful to take them off...really! So I was scared that I might be difficult to take tem off the lips as well.  I used first my L'Occitane Immortelle Oil Makeup Remover and after I took my In Vitamin Micellar water and took of any excess that was left. I went off nicely without hurting my lips :)

Maybelline SuperStay 24 is indeed long wearing and smudge proof.  I did notice a tiny transfer on my mug yesterday but clearly it was nothing. I rub my finger on my lips and there was no lipstick on . Weird tho. I didn't notice any cracking or flaking. Over all I am impressed with them :) I might pick one or two more shades :) Coz I wasn't happy wit the nude I got so I might pick another one. There is 30 shades in collection so for sure I will be able to pick something up. 

If you are on the budget and you need a long wearing lightweight lipstick try maybelline superstay 24 :) They less than $10 :)

Marc Jacobs ~ Velvet Noir Mascara Review

The mascara I came to love at very first swipe on my lashes. 

I love trying new mascaras. Some I ended up loving some, hating.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir stole my heart. This is my very first product form Marc Jacobs makeup line, but not the last. 

Velvet Noir was inspired by Marc Jacobs memory of his mother shaving fibers form velvet ribbon to create her own faux lashes. 

This mascara claims to give a volume and sure it does it.. Formula is thick and coats lashes to give them extreme volume. Love the brush on it. Reminds so much of Too Faced Better Then Sex Mascara, which is also one of my favorites. Hourglass shaped can help you reach the "hard to reach"lashes. Really easy to work with. 

And can we talk about tube? Hexagonal shaped, easy to hold and it won't roll on you vanity. Tube is black and it have a Marc Jacobs printed in white on the bottom.. Very chic and classy!  Velvet Noir makes my lashes black, extremely black! which I love , the blacker the better :) 

I usually apply two coats. One coat makes my lashes stand up and the second makes them look like falsies. I tried apply third but it made my lashes a bit clumpy. Now, this mascara won't curl your lashes, I suggest going  with a eyelash curler, after mascara dries out or before, Whichever you prefer. 

I been using Velvet Noir daily and I been falling more in love with it I know I will need a backup of it for sure. Think I found my holy grail :).

I redeem most of them in Target. Unfortunately Rudis Organic bakery and Applegate were not available at the store. I will have to try different location.

As you saw my previous post I received a free sample of new 5 ingredient hot cocoa from Influenster.
And I am a FAN of hot cocoa . Whats better then nice warm cup of hot cocoa to enjoy your fall / winter evening :)
Recently Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa  launch a new cocoa. Contains  5 simple ingredients :

3.) Non Fat Milk
4.) Salt
5.) Natural Flavor
NO Artificial Flavors , Colors or Preservatives.

Vita Vox Box ~ Free Box from Influenster

Last month or maybe a little over a month ago, I received my very first VOX BOX from Influenster! And Yes I was really happy!:)

Let me tell you something about Influenster. Its a basically a website (duh!) where you write reviews on products you tried. Also, you connect all of your social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc.
Then you build up your Impact score that will qualify you for some programs :)
It is really fun! :)
After taking a survey I received my very first (and hopefully not the last ) vox box.

Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum ~ Elizabeth Arden

Today's quick post will be about my free sample of Flawless Future Serum by Elizabeth Arden that I received free from Influenster for testing purposes.

The serum comes in a small (.17 fl oz  or 5 ml) glass bottle with pump. This unique liquid serum with caplet mini beads activates when dispensed, providing a refreshing burst that initially clings to skin and then dries to smooth weightless finish. Use it to even skin tone and reduce appearance of early signs of wrinkles.

But does it really work?

In my opinion and after using it I will say Yes!

I have to say I was super lucky to be one of the chosen for the #vitavoxbox.
I never use any Elizabeth Arden products. Why ? Because of the prices, I consider it LUXURY and well lets be honest with all things going on in my life I just couldn't afford it :(. But thanks to Influenster I was able to try it out and I loved it~

My skin is very sensitive, some products might a bit harsh on me. This serum was very gentle and it's not greasy at all. I started using it last week for the first time and I can already see some changes on my skin.

It feels smooth, soft, hydrated and looks more even. Really impressed with the product. I've been using it at night time but I will be switching to both day and night routine. Plus I also want to concentrate on the under-eye area (panda eyes don't look good on anyone) Also notice that my pores are less visible.

My final thought is that I am in love with it :) It is worth the money ($60 for 1.0 oz) and after I am done with my deluxe sample I will be purchasing a full size bottle. I will invest my $$$ into it.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance

Hi ...!

Lets talk about Tampons! yes why not! :) I know as a woman that "That time of the month" can be not easy for some of us , and we need a best tampons that can help us go through it.  I recently got a Playtex Sport Fresh Balance (I received this product form Influenster for testing purposes). And they did choose a good time for it to send it to me,and i was able to use t shortly after i revived.

The box cotains 16 regular size tampons (absorbency range is 6-9g). there have a odor shield technology design to neutralize odors and it does . 360 degree protection design to fit ur body and its movements for protective barrier, have no problems exercising and doing my daily zumba :) very easy application , plus they do smell good!!! and I do scented tampons or pads :)
I think I will have to cheat on my U by Kotex tampons I been using for a long time. This one is amazing and if u need a good protection due to sports and being active, I   would recommend them to you! After Im done with mine , Im getting a new box for sure! Softlips Cube in Vanilla Bean ~ Review

Today's post will be about a softlips lip balm. I received this product free form Influenster.
And I got to say a BIG Thank U to Influenter for sending it to me! The best lip balm I have ever tried. And if it wasn't for them I probably would never purchase it myself.


PACKAGING AND THE PRODUCT MY THOUGHTS :

At first I was not happy when I saw it was a Vanilla Scented ( I usually stay away form Vanilla scented cosmetics , just because the smell is too strong and it gives me headaches).But I was positively surprised with it the vanilla is not as strong as i thought it would be. I think it does have a hint of mint, so the scent was not that overwhelming.

Lets talk about the packaging :) , its super cute. Balm comes in a glass look alike cube, which is adorable. The lid lock/close with a 'click' . Its small and can be carry around and it fits in any makeup bags.

The lip balm is formulated with Shea Butter, Vitamin A, C and E. Also have a SPF15 that protects lips form uv rays. the creamy texture  goes on smoothly on the lips. Keeps lips hydrated, moist and shiny for a few hours. I also notice that it did help me with my chapped lips.
I do prefer this one better then a EOS balm , which was a bit dry on my lips. Really looking forward to try the mint and berry one as well :)

Pros:

• easy to use
• hydrate lips
• moisturize
• good value
• smells good
• lightweight
• effective

Cons:

• Lid ( can damage balm while closing)

I do recommend for you to try it. and inexpensive ( less the $5)  and you can get it at CVS  Rite Aid, Target Walmart , Walgreens.
