Jeffree Start Blood Lust Palette - first impression + swatches

Jeffree had done it again. New palette joined my small family last week and as soonest I got it I put it to the test. 

This post is more of a first impression then a review. I have not yet played with all the colors and roughly I used this palette three times. So no I will not say this is a review. 

This whole Blood Lust collection launched on February 21st. As you can see I only gotten a palette, even tho some glosses were calling my name.... I kinda wanted the super intense and super pricey highlighter, but since I was placing order on Beautylish I only added Blood Lust to my cart along with withe JS mirror and small Conspiracy palette. I am waiting for restock... I really want few pieces for Shane x Jeffree collection. 

But this post is about Blood Lust so lets talk Blood Lust. 

Hmmm but where do you want me to start? 

Palette is hexagon shaped and comes in similar box. The outside of a palette is what stands out the most. I am talking about the velvet lining all over it and shiny crown embossed on the lid as well.. It seriously reminds me of a royalty. The palette is huge and really thick. I know for sure I will have a problem storing it coz of that and the unique shape. But its worth it, it really is. I will find a good place for it. 

The inside of the palette is stunning. The color scheme is beautiful. Its on a pastel side which I don't mind. The colors I used so far worked really good. 

Here are the swatches:

• * Dungeon: Dark plum with a matte finish
• * Scandal Water: Light violet with a matte finish
• * Sworn Enemy: Gold with green reflects and a duochrome finish

• * Pink Magic: Hot pink with a wet metallic finish
• * Bleeding Heart: Fire red with a metallic finish
• * Executioner: Black with purple-pink reflects and a duochrome finish
• * High King: Berry purple with a matte finish
• * Vivid Mood: Bright lavender with a matte finish
• * Monarchy: Muted brown with a matte finish
• * Blood Queen: Vibrant eggplant with a matte finish
• * Vile Serpent: Teal with a matte finish
• * Betrayal: Purple with gold reflects and a duochrome finish

So as you can tell the first half is more lighter and the second much darker. I like that there are lighter shades as I might love dark but sometimes they tend to be too intimidating. 
The shades that I tried so far I really liked. I manage to do five different looks and on some I use only 3 shades. Sorry I didn't take any pics :( but I tell you that look #2 and #3 were my fave. 

For first look I used Royal Pain in the crease, Beauty Sleep on the lid and Blood Queen in outer corner.  Lower lash line I lined with Vivid Moon mixed with Take the Crown. This look was soft and I like to call it angelic. All the shades preformed really well. Beauty Sleep I applied with a finger and blend edges with a brush.  

Second look I went a bit darker. I used once again Royal Pain the crease, on the lid Betrayal (WOW!), outer corner Dungeon. On lower lash line Dungeon again with a bit of Take the Crown. I will say that I was surprised with Betrayal, what a gorgeous shade! and it applied so good with a brush! I really like how this look turned out. My co-worker liked it but she said it was more "night time " appropriate. At first I paired it with Nearly Nude JS Velour Liquid Lipstick but later I changed as I didn't like it much coz it was way too warm and not a good match. I actually pulled out Vitamin Beet by Physicians Formula and all came together really nice. 

My third look was all green and here I used seriously 3 colors. Monarchy in the crease, Sworn Enemy all over the lid and Vile Serpent in the outer corner as well as on the lower lash line mixed with Sworn Enemy. I tell you as much as I love this look, the shade Sworn Enemy was missing this wow factor that it have when you look at it in the pan. I used my finger to apply it. It was ok but I wanted more from it. I wanted to be more metallic. No idea maybe I will wet my finger next time and see if it helps. But men this look was beautiful ! I paired it with androgyny by JS. Seriously My favorite lipstick ever... I am scrapping it from the tube walls coz its almost empty! and this is my 2nd tube! and the sad part is that is out of stock! I seriously wanna cry! 

Look number 4- this time I used Royal Pain (can you tell I love this shade?) in the crease and all over the lid, in the outer corner and lower lash I put High King and top it all with Wet Jewel on the lid. Pretty and Sparkly :) 

My final look included Pink Magic  all over the lid, and as you guessed Royal Pain in the crease and Dungeon in outer corner. Lower lash Blood Queen mixed with Betrayal. 

The only shades that I really want to use are Bleeding Heart and Executioner , but I dunno not sure yet how to pair these two. I will try to play more over the weekend and see with what can I come up with. 

Over all I really like this palette because I like the purple tones. All the shades that I tried preformed really good! The quality is there you guys. Actually quality was always there. I own all of the JS palettes (except Alien and Conspiracy - please come back to stock?!?) and I never once had an issue with his palettes. But hear me ... If you are not so confident with the colorful shadows no worries Jeffree announced that there will be a NUDE palette launching soon and guys with his amazing formula he will knock all the other palettes out! Cant freaking wait! 
Also I wanted to mention that I used Royal Pain as blush and both light shimmers Take the Crown and Beauty Sleep as a highlighters! all three looked so good! You probably think I'm crazy hahah ! no I'm not.. you can use his liquid lipsticks as eye liners so why not use shadows are a highlighter or blush?

Jeffree Star Cosmetics - Jawbreaker Summer Collection

Summer is in a full swing. NYC its been hot and humid and more hot and humid. We past Independence Day and my short 4 day break is coming to an end. But before I even go back to my normal work routine I will talk to you about the Jawbreaker collection by JSC, and honey it is jaw dropping!

This might be the biggest collection he launched so far.The main focus is not only the biggest palette but this time we have two! They are highlighters, liquid lipsticks,lip scrubs,metallic lip toppers, merch and mirrors (oh the mirrors got away!). I am so getting the white one next restock! I don't own JSC mirrors but I am eyeing few :) But lets ask our self, how many star shaped mirrors one person can have? the easy and the only answer is ALL OF THEM! #sorrynotsorry. 

I placed two order on Beautylish.Why two? Coz my phone was acting up once the collection launched. I was only able to add palette bundle to my cart. And thb I didn't wanted to go into details on why it didn't see ADD TO BAG under any other products. I had to get the bundle and I just paid for that. When I got home, several hours later,some of the products were still available! So I added three new liquid lipsticks, highlighting palette, stock up on my Adrogyny lipsticks and added Blue Blood and Sugar Blood, coz yeah I am late to the game. So my complete order came up to $291 for that day :) *fingers crossed maybe one day I can get on his PR* and then I could show you all the products and not only few. Both palettes and the whole collection is inspired by candy -  Jawbreaker. Now question: did any of you ever tried that candy? I didn't but now I really want to!

Ok enough me rumbling.Here are my picks form the Jawbreaker collection. 

Two new palettes joined JSC family :) Guys I am a nude eye shadow lover.I feel safe with nude.But men when I saw the beautiful colors in both palettes I told myself that I need to step out of my comfort zone and try colors! The only colors I use is on the lower lash line.Its like a staple look for me.Always blue,teal,green, purple you name it :) Thats how far I go with color LOL. But both palettes were calling my name! And I was so excited for purples! purples are my jam! *on the lower lash line*

Jawbreaker palette come in a white outer packaging, that resembles jawbreaker candy. with lots of color splashes that might be dunno sprinkles? The palette is pink and the packing feels really sturdy. and same story lots of color splashes aka sprinkles.Adorable! Btw this is the biggest JSC eye shadow palette. It contains 24 eye shadows. Inside there is a well sized mirror and your gorgeous colors! Its such a pleasing sight :)all colors scream summer and they scream to play with them :)

• Virgin: bone yellow-white with a matte finish
• Good Morning: soft, fleshy pink with a matte finish
• Bubble Gum: pink with a matte finish
• Wow: neon yellow with a matte finish
• Suck: true orange with a matte finish
• Licorice: pure red with a matte finish

• Fuck: pinkish coral with a matte finish
• Gum Drop: true purple with a matte finish
• Snack: light pink with a glitter finish
• Brain Freeze: baby blue with a matte finish
• Jawbreaker: reflective silver with a shimmer finish

• And What: red with a metallic finish
• Orange Juice: orange with a metallic finish
• Sour: light green with a matte finish
• Soaked: cobalt blue with a matte finish
• Raspberry: deep maroon with a matte finish
• Cotton Candy: pink with a metallic finish

• Lemon drop: yellow with a metallic finish
• Bite me: dark, rich purple with a metallic finish
• Cherry Wet: bright, fuschia red with a matte finish
• Tasty: deep brown with a matte finish
• Cone: champagne nude with a matte finish
• Delicious: dark navy with a matte finish

I played with few shades already and they feel wonderful. I live for shimmers and I love Snack. This might me my favorite shade from the palette. The Jawbreaker shade makes perfect inner corner highlight. Cherry Wet is beautiful ! The Cotton Candy hot pink and Bite Me wow love! 

Really all shades are wearable if you only now how to wear them :)

The Mini Breaker is so cute! Its JSC first 9 pan palette "hope there will be more in the future!*. Comes in a super bright lime green outer packaging and  the inside palette is white. Very sturdy packaging and inside there is nice sized mirror. This one as soonest you open you can see purple shades coming at you. And yes this girl loves purples!And this might be even more wearable then the bigger palette. Shades like Double Scoop,Orange Crush or Slice are safe and basically your safe neutral shades *if you can call Orange Crush neutral LOL* .7 shades are brand new and two (Bite Me and Bubble Gum) are repeats from the big Jawbreaker palette. 

Shades:

 Double Scoop: terracotta nude with a matte finish
Orange Crush: orange with gold reflects with a matte finish
Foreplay: cool, mauve-y pink with a matte finish
Oral: mirror-like, reflective silver with a duochrome finish
Purple Punch: purple with a matte finish
Slice: unique, burnt yellow-orange with a metallic finish
Bubble Gum: pink with a matte finish
Bite Me: dark, rich purple with a metallic finish
Hot Fudge: dark, cool-tone brown with a matte finish

Next is Brain Freeze Highlighting palette :)

 Oh Yes Baby i love JSC highlighters. I didn't try the supreme skin frost yet.. I am eyeing Diamond Wet form this collection.I think this shade and I will be a bff's ... once I get it of course :). The name is so fitting ! The highlighters (except the golden ones) feel like they can give you a brain freeze haha. But every single shade is beautiful and I can wear it on a daily basics. The shades are housed in the same kind of very sturdy packaging as the both eye shadow palettes. The design reminds me of ice cream. And gosh I crave one right now lol .

The highlighters like I said are beautiful and blinding!they really can see you from outer space. But that's nothing new, JSC skin frosts are amazing and formula is always the best. 

Shades:

• Cold Shoulder: white-silver with blue reflects with a duochrome finish
• Gold Breaker: radiant gold with a shimmer finish
• Cocky: deep gold, especially beautiful for medium to deep skin tones, with a shimmer finish
• Statuesque: yellow-ish gold with a shimmer finish
• Frozen Fruit: shiny light pink with a shimmer finish
• Freeze Tag: funky silver with a shimmer finish

To complete my purchase I grabbed 3 velour liquid lipsticks:

* Fully Nude - nude

* Strawberry Crush - strawberry red

* Yes Ma'am - hot pink 

I love love love velour liquid lipsticks! the colors,the formula everything! This are so cute! they come in a bright neon lime green box,just like the Mini Breaker and have cute neon green caps! Always trying to add LE products to my collection :)

Spring Glow with Jeffree Star Skin Frost palettes ~ Shop My Stash (part 1)

I don't know about your but I love a good highlighter. Always did. They are my weakness and I could have them 100 and still not be satisfy.  Now thinking about it I might have just that many. Sorry not sorry. 

I am trying something new on the blog. "Shop My Stash" post will be about products that I have in my collection and still didn't review and mostly it will include past collections and older products. No worries most of them you still will be able to buy :)

Today, as you can tell by the tittle I will share my thoughts on Jeffree's Star Skin Frost highlighting palettes. I bought them sometime last year, when I believe there were on sale on Beautylish. I do not own the newest palette yet. But it will be joining my collection, hopefully soon.

Jeffree's formula is loved by some and hated by others.  I am in the circle of people that like that formula and all the crazy colors he creates! Yes give it to me all :) 

What's the formula like you ask? Well its super creamy, pigmented and blend-able. When you dip you fingers in its so soft and the color payoff, BLINDING! 

I had this goal to collect all of his highlighters. Crazy right! There is approx over 20 shades! Well lets see what time will bring. I always wait for some sort of sale on his website or even Beautylish. These babies can drop to half of which is amazing deal if you ask me. 

Now back to the palettes :) Like I mention I got them off Beautylish and they were on SALE back then. Not sure how much I paid but definitely less then $40 regular price. Both palettes: Platinum Ice and 24 Karat I love and treasure.

Lets see the shades in Platinum Ice:

* Ice Cold ~ you can get this one in regular offer as it comes as a single highlighter and I belive it was one of the first highlighters that Jeffree launched years ago. But I might be mistaking. Anyways I have it in a big pink roundy compact and I wore it so so so many times! Creamy white blinding goodness. 

* Glacier ~ its a blue silver highlight that looks so beautiful. In the pan and on the skin :)

* Lavender Snow ~ I was so happy that this baby was included in this palette. I wanted it for so long.  Its lavender and its amazing!

* Alien Ice ~ one of my faves for sure! gorgeous green that is blinding like no other! I would like to see this in Jeffree's permanent line. 

* Pink Chill ~ its more like a topper. Its really nice and looks stunning when the light hits it. 

* Canary Bling ~ its super pretty soft gold that shifts in the light. 

This palette was my go to when I bought it last year. Now it is time to pull it out and use it more :)

The whole idea of Shop my Stash is to re-discover loved products :)

The 24 Karat  palette is much more warmer and suits deeper skin tones. I use it as an eye shadow palette :) With exception of one or two shades that work as a highlighters on my skin. 

* Sarcophagus ~ gorgeous champagne color that Jeffree decided to make it in a big compact so yes this shade joined 'stand alone' skin frost family. This is by far my favorite shade in this palette. It works amazing as a highlighter and as a eye shadow :)

* King Tut ~ already available in Skin Frost line. Light golden bronze. 

* Dark Horse ~ true copper color. Can be used as a shimmery bronzer and also available in regular Skin Frost. 

* Legendary ~ salmon pink and if applied light handed it looks so beautiful on my skin. Can be used as a blush topper :)

* Giza ~ makes a beautiful blush topper and works great as an eyeshadow. 

* Liberace ~ true yellow gold. I don't think I could ever pull this on my cheek bones but on the eyes, yes please!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics - Holiday 2018 ~ Velour Liquid Lipsticks swatches

Oh yes! this year I didn't sleep on it and purchase the whole velour liquid lipsticks set. Jeffree Star Holiday collection always get me. Last year lipsticks were so gorgeous and I only managed to scooped two shades. I know, by the time I was ready to get the set it was sold out. This year I made sure I was up and ready on launched date and got me the lippies. The Alien palette on the other hand is sold out and I am patiently waiting for it to get back in stock. Alien and Blood Sugar are the ones missing in my collection. 

Anyways back to lipstick bundle. 8 beautiful lipsticks packaged in a iridescent with rainbow shift packaging. The tubes are so gorgeous as well. Glittery and sparkly. Once they hit the light or sun they sparkle and its insane! No one does Holiday like Jeffree :) 

Lets get into swatches and colors:

* Karma ~ khaki green. It looks like a baby poop. There I said. But once on the lips wow! especially with my fair skin tone it looks surprisingly nice! Who new I would like that much. I only wore it around the house, not brave enough to leave the house yet. 

* Jeffree Who? ~ gorgeous warm rosy pink that I been wearing it almost everyday. This one and Doll Parts are definitely favorites shades Jeffree created. I live for it! 

* Clout ~ metallic lavender. Sister of Thirst Trap that came out this summer. Blinding metallic shade that can be used as a base of an eyeshadow :) Yes you should know by now that Jeffree's velour liquid lipsticks can be used as a eyeshadow base and eye liner :)

* Triggered ~ deep burgundy with glitter. Nice grungy deep plum :) I love the sparkles in this :)

* Scandal ~ deep dusty rose almost lavender with sparkle in it. Again another beautiful shade! And something that I can wear everyday. 

* Hi, How Are Ya? ~ beautiful holiday red with glitter in it :) I simply adore Jeffree's holiday reds! I am bumped that I ahve not gotten my hands on the last year one. Glitter comes through once you rub your lips together. 

* Can't Relate ~ nude. A something between Skin Tight and Mannequin. I love good nudes so why not Jeffree! make some more nudes :) TBH I need to purchase more nude lipsticks from Jeffree Star :) There is few that I really need :)  "Can't relate" is the something that Jeffree said this year and it become a big hit! 

* You're Still On The Property ~  deep metallic blue that is so beautiful! omg love this! God I want to wear this everyday !

Star Family Collection ~ JeffreeStar Cosmetics ~ swatches

My Jeffree Start Family Collection arrived at the end of October:)  And Guys I am obsessed! The cute house that lippies are housed in is so freaking adorable! I just can't!

I order it the day it launched via Beautylish and guys the shipping was super fast and they way it came packed!?! Yes Beautylish you did an amazing job and I will be definitely ordering again! I just had to throw it in here. Coz some brands they don't care about packing products, not making sure they secured, they don't even put a bubble wrap! Yes it happen few times with my orders, so i am glad Beautylish cares about their customers and products they ship! A+ for that.

Now lets get back to the collection, coz I bet you want to read about it and not of my Beautylish experience. 

At first I thought that was a Holiday collection, I don't know where that thought came from tho. Anyways someone on IG told me that it was not a Holiday Collection but just a Family Collection that Jeffree have been working on for a while. When I first saw the post all over IG, I knew I wanted the House with lippies and a highlighter. I love Jeffree highlight formula. As the matter of fact I own few in my Star Collection :)There is still few that are on my wishlist :) With that I wait till Black Friday :)I heard there will an awesome sale so yeah can't wait you guys!

anyways back to the collection.
Like I said the liquid lipsticks come in  a cute pink house, that have Jeffree Star Logo and right below holographic Family Collection. Once you open up you will see the Family Picture of Jeffree, Nathan and their cute doggies with Jeffree's and Nathan's signature as well as doggies paw prints and their names. I mean adorable as hell!
 On the other side we have beautiful liquid lipsticks :)

* Nathan ~ warm toned terra-cotta nude. My favorite in the collection :) it looks so pretty
* Wifey  ~ dark brick toned red.
* Diva ~ pink with metallic gold shift. Named after Jeffree's first dog.
* Diamond  ~  beautiful periwinkle shade. named after their second Pomeranian  dog.
* Delicious ~  deep grey based mauve shade. Named after 3rd dog, who's fur was exact color when he was a baby.
* Baby Daddy ~  another pretty warm taupey nude. Named after their 4th Pomeranian dog

Each lipstick have a pink cap and holographic starts and writing on them. Formula is same as the other liquid lipsticks. They dry matte but their not as drying and crumbly as other liquid lipsticks.They are really comfortable on the lips :)
The set that I showed you here retails for $75. Each lipstick if you want to buy separately $18.

Now the star of the show, the Skin Frost Highlight in shade Neffree. OMG you guys the most beautiful highlight I own. Its this icy purple pink with a shimmer finish. It looks pink on me, but you can see the purple shift, depends on how light hits it. It is blinding!  But I don't think it is consider duo chrome.  I live for it! It comes in a baby pink package with holographic detailing.  The only bad thing I have to say about this highlight is that it was really hard to take a pics of it.  it made a white background looks all yellow and well not so nice. but what choice do I have LOL :) The highlight just like other skin frosts retails at $29.

I love the video that Jeffree posted on his channel. Its was so cute to watch! the doggies are so adorable! I am such a dog person and dogs are just my favorite! and I love them all.  their family is just so cute and fun! Ahh it made me smile and I am just love it.

Jeffree Star x MannyMUA collab ~ swatches + review

Yes, I know I am late to the swatch party but whatever. 

i was super excited for this collab. I knew the bundle was the thing for me. I needed it. The collab launched while I was at IMATS. At Beautylish booth the collection was up. So everyone could swatch it and get it right away at the discounted price. The only downside was ... no box. You know the bundle comes in a cool box that makeup collectors and beauty blogger need in their collection. Well i passed on it then, coz no box I don't need you. Instead I grabbed few other JS products. after I was done I asked my sis in law to order the bundle off JS website... and guess what sold out :( 

bummer right? so I said to myself I wait till it gets back in stock. 

Few weeks ago I entered giveaway at Makeup Addicts Rejoice on FB where the main prize was ... JS x Manny Collab. And woohoo i won :) You guys have no idea how happy I was :) 

Noosha was super fast with shipping and I got my prize shortly after :) 

You guys it is breathtaking! the box, the packaging the products all perfection. 

I just love the black holographic packaging ! The bundle includes two Velour Liquid Lipsticks and one Skin Frost Highlight. All wearable and it will suit everyone :)

I adore JS liquid lipsticks formula. I do have few in my stash. They feel really nice on the lips and no drying. Colors wear through out the day. The new shades come in a limited edition packaging, black holographic packaging with JS  (star) and Mannys (crescent)  logos . 

"I'm Shook" ~  medium tones burnt coral. It looks more red on me then coraly. 

"Daddy" ~ this one is my favorite. cooled tones brown, that gives you a 90's grungy vibes. I love brown lipsticks! this is def a must have one :)

Both wear amazing and both go on opaque on the lips. Like I said before JS formula is amazing. 

Now the skin frost. OMG its just stunning. It is called Eclipse and its described as an icy peach highlight. It is same size as other JS highlights. It comes again in a limited edition packaging with JS and Mannys Logo imprinted on the product. Large mirror inside is a huge plus. 

I used only a bit, coz hello I don't want to destroy the logo LOL . It is blinding! I love how it look on my cheekbones. and when you spray it with a makeup spray it is even more blinding! Love it! glow for days !
