New In By Alter Ego Cosmetics - Sahara, Aurora and Daydream palettes - swatches and my thoughts

* Purchased by Me*

Alter Ego is one of the "dupe" brands. How are you guys feel about the dupe brands that dupe higher end, popular palettes? I personally don;t mind. I know its not cool to "steal"someone else idea, but hey not every one have $120 to spend on a palette! So when we are on the budget, in collage, have lower income and can't afford Natasha Denona, Pat or Huda, even tho we want them bad!
I personally have $ and I could purchase from either of the brands but do I want to? I mean Huda is more affordable then the other two ladies. ND created smaller palettes for $65 but again the price is still high... and don;t get me start on Pat's $130, 10 pan palettes ... um no...

I feel like we need brands like Alter Ego or CColorCosmetics (on this brand later).
I already purchased a while back dupe for ND Gold Palette that I swatched and reviewed here
I got really nice feedback from some of you so here I am with 3 more dupe palettes :)
Oh wait did I promised you guys ABH Sultry dupe? I think I might ...sorry I need more time to work on it.

For now lets see what I got :)

* Sahara - I think this one the most requested dupe and its for Natasha Denona Biba palette. Now I will tell you straight away that I would never buy the original palette. Why? Coz the price... and its mostly neutrals shades that no matter how good they are I won't spend that much. Alter Ego launched dupe sometime last year and again just like with the Goddess palette the quality is amazing.

Shades:

Mirage (metallic champagne)
Camel (matte muted tan)
Canyon (matte burgundy brown)
Plains (matte camel)
Bronze (metallic deep copper)
Savanna (matte antique rose)
Adobe (matte terracotta clay)
Sierra (matte rich burgundy)
 Jewel (metallic pink champagne)
Fox (matte merlot red)
 Sands (matte light beige)
 Raven (matte dark chocolate)
Clay (matte neutral grey)
 Slate (matte dark grey brown)
Mesa (matte deep black)

This palette is a shade for shade dupe. I watched Jen YT video and after I saw it I knew I wanted needed to have it. Not only the shadow formula is amazing bu the price as well.
Retails $16

* Aurora - this one dupes Natasha Denona Sunrise palette. I actually wanted to buy Sunrise palette not long ago, I still might or not. No idea as the dupe that I have on hand is amazing! The color story in ND and AE are gorgeous!

Shades:

Radiance (iridescent mauve duo-chrome)
Stellar (metallic warm champagne),
Spark (red copper duo-chrome)
Sunburst (matte warm apricot)
Dawn (iridescent deep pink duo-chrome)
Shine (matte bright yellow)
Luminary (metallic golden brown)
 Ray (metallic crimson red)
Nova (matte deep berry)
Cosmic (metallic warm burgundy)
Star (matte peachy pink)
Brilliance (metallic golden beige)
Flare (matte deep rusty red)
Sol (matte deep orange)
Twilight (matte dark earthy brown)

The powders feel soft and velvety and very blendable. They swatched and applied really nice on the eyes. The shadows are shade for shade dupe :)
Retails $16

* Daydream - dupe for New Nudes by Huda Beauty. I already have one dupe of this palette by W7, but I don;t have original to compere too. The shades are so up my alley I love rosey, purply shades. There is total of 5 different textures in the palettes - glitter, mattes, cream to powder shimmers, one pressed shimmer  and concealer shade, that I find pointless... Don't come after me LOL. I just don;t have a need for the concealer...

Shades:

Glow (soft pink)
Starcrossed (golden copper with pink and gold sparkle)
Bubbly (light peach)
Dreamer (medium plum with metallic sparkle)
Sugar Plum (deep berry)
 Enchanted (medium berry)
 Celestial (soft lavender)
 Fairytale (medium pink with sparkle)
Sunset (medium pink)
 Cosmos (dark red glitter)
 Starlight (plum glitter)
Twilight (medium plum)
 Sunkissed (medium pink)
Dusk (soft plum)
 Daybreak (medium reddish-brown)
Cloud Nine (reddish brown with sparkle)
Fawn (soft rose brown)

I could totally compare AE and W7 and see how they look side by side.. Let me know if you want to see it. I know W7 is quite popular in Europe and you can get it easier then Alter Ego.

Overall my thoughts I am seriously impressed with Alter Ego. The quality of shadows and over all the presentation (even dupe) is on the point. I used each palette twice and I like the way they preformed. And for the price of $16, $18 all are worth trying.

Natasha Denona - LOVE Eye Shadow Palette and LOVE Glow Cheek Palette

*Purchased by me*

Both palettes have been out since beginning of February and there is so many good and bad reviews on this. I picked up my palettes from Sephora, last month.

I know there  biggest issue that every one have with this palette is the quality of shadows. ND overall quality is always a topnoch... But people find issues with this particular palette.

My palette was fine. Shades I used when I was playing with it worked quite well. I was and still am pleased with the quality and performance of the shadows. Like I said I have not used them all, but majority.
This is my first bigger palette that have more then 5 shades. I already own Cranberry and two minis - Lila and Glam.

LOVE PALETTE

I ordered this palette as my pre birthday gift. It was either this collection (eye palette and face palette) or new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. I was going back and forth with my decision and finally I opted in for ND. It was V-Day edition so I thought it might be gone next month you know? But now I read it  that this is a Spring 2020 collection so it might stick for a while.
As for the CT hopefully my unemployment money rolls in fast + the federal  checks so I can get it :) Right, screw rent and bill and give me my CT :)
But all jokes aside I will eventually get the Pillow Talk. Now back to Love palette because it is the main reason you guys clicked on the post.

Love palettes comes in a pink (super cute) plastic component. The shadow size is a bit bigger then her minis, that how I see it when I put them side by side. You have  a bigger mirror on the inside and your gorgeous shades. Mainly main focus is on pinks, mauve's and purples with pops of gold, silver and browns.  Colors complements each other. There is a nice mixture of mattes, shimmers and satin's.
The quality of the shades I tried was good. Mattes blend nicely and shimmers were shimmery. But can't tell much as I don't won any of her larger palettes as the formula on those is amazing, or so every one say it is :)
The mattes I used were Heartbeat, Trust, Soul and Intense - all preformed good, I was able to blend them with no problems.
Shimmers I played with - Lifetime, Pure Love, Giving and Blind - again not much of an issue. all worked pretty fine.
Shades and swatches:

First: Peachy beige creamy matte
Lifetime:
Warm gold (sparkling)
Heartbeat:
Deep maroon creamy matte
Transparent:
Nude pink ivory (sparkling, perhaps satin?)
Trust:
Deep plum creamy matte
Heart:
Crimson red creamy matte
Giving:
Coral with a pink duochrome finish (sparkling topper)
Pure Love:
Warm plum with blue reflects and a duochrome finish (sparkling)
Commitment:
Deep eggplant cream to powder
Blind:
Silver (foiled)
Soul:
Deep dusty rose creamy matte
Passion:
Deep burgundy with pink sparkles (sparkling)
Intense:
Warm pink creamy matte
Valentine:
Baby pink creamy matte
Dream:
Iris violet cream to powder

For my personal opinion I think this is a nice palette. But it is up to you if you willing to spend $65 on it.

LOVE GLOW CHEEK PALETTE

I could not order the eye shadow palette and love this beautiful face palette behind now could I?
Now if only ND team decided to make eye shadow palette in the same packaging! I mean its addicting and mesmerizing! Gotta love move it around and see how all the glitter and confetti floats inside. At first I was not convinced but the more I look at the palette the more I said to myself I need it.

It comes in the same pink colored plastic component. It is more on a bulkier side tho so be mindful about it.

There is 4 cheek products inside :

* Glow Cream Base - glowing warm cream pink with the hints of magenta blush.
* Super Glow Blush - vibrant warm coral shimmery blush
* Diamond Powder - vibrant cool pink shimmer with gold flex
* Glow Impact Powder - golden champagne gel powder highlighter

Like the name suggest this a glowy palette and if you don;t like shimmer or glow in your makeup or life you won';t like this palette.
I only used Super Glow blush (the coral one) but more as a topper rather then going heavy with it on my cheeks :) I'm extreme but nit that extreme hahaha. It look pretty layer on top of matte peachy/ coraly blush. It did give nice glow but not overpowering. Second product was the highlighter :) It tiny bit darker then I usually like but once I really blended in it looked really good.
This little palette retails at $55 so price wise its up there :) But its ND so you do pay for an amazing quality in which this cheek palette delivers :)

Hope you enjoyed this little post :) Let me know if picked up any of the mentioned products or are you planning too:)

Profusion Cosmetics MIRAGE palette - is it a perfect Fall palette?

*pr sample*

If you follow my blog and IG for sometime, you know I love Profusion Cosmetics.
Not only they are affordable but gosh the quality is freaking amazing.
If you struggle to find affordable matte palettes or matte eye-shadows, well look no further. Profusion mattes preform better then some of the high end ones. What ever Profusion makes its a big hit not only with me but with all beauty community.

Mirage is the new baby of theirs.Palette launched maybe two months ago. The color scheme is eye pleasing. Mix of warm tones, pinks, purples and there are three pressed glitter shades.
The matte shadows like in every other palette are amazing. Pigmented and blend like a dream. Shimmers are stunning and best when applied with a finger. Personally not a fan of pressed glitters, but I see a lot of brands puts them in the palettes. I guess that is the new thing LOL. But seriously this palette is such a  great transition from Summer to Fall. I mean just look at the shades! You know does it remind me? Sunsets. Few weeks ago the sunsets in NYC were beautiful! From bright orange to beautiful purple-pink skyline. Gosh that was such a beautiful view! You would not believe it! I feel the sunsets during September are beautiful. But why do I think that this palette is perfect for Fall? well just look at the warmth, the beautiful gold, browns, oranges. Does that not remind you of Fall leaves!? My dream is to go to Vermont or Main during this time and see the changes over there.

Here are the swatches:

I have no words, this might one of the best Profusion palettes. Adore all the shades and the super high end quality. Also this palette retails for only $13 !!! You can grab it at Profusion website and Walmart that sells Profusion Cosmetics.

One more thing before I leave to write another post. This palette reminds me of Sunrise palette by Natasha Denona. I don't own it but I saw it at Sephora few times and each time makes me think of Mirage and when I look at mirage,Sunrise palette comes to mind. It might a great and an affordable dupe in my opinion. LOL now I want to go and spend $65n on ND palette to compare.Should I? Let me know what you think :)

Dream Street and The Zodiac Palettes - KathleenLights x Colourpop Collab ~ Review + Swatches

I always get excited when Colourpop launches a new eyeshadow  palette. They are such a great quality! I made a goal to collect them all. As of now the only ones that I still have to purchase : Fame, Fortune, Give It To Me Straight and Pretty Much.

My recent haul included Sol Y Mar palettes, that I reviews and swatched here. Also I grabbed Makeup Ur Mind and Preception palette in collaboration with Shayla.

Today I will swatch and talk about KathleenLight palettes: Dream Street and new The Zodiac palette.

I will start with The Zodiac palette, because it is the newest. I love Zodiac theme and anything that is Zodiac, spiritual, Galaxy, Star, Moon, Sun, Dreams etc related. Hhahah I know so much! When I was little I would read a lot of horoscopes. It was kinda a thing and like every magazine had a horoscope in so why not. Another thing I loved to do was to look at the night sky.  I still do. But there is something magical just looking at the stars and moon, finding constellations, and trying to spot shooting stars. It is easy to do so when you live in open space like farm. I live in the city now and its hard to see anything :( Another thing I loved to do, is to translate dreams. I try to remember the most important details from my dream and I would go online and try to figure out what it means.  Good old days if you ask me. But now let's get back to the palette shall we?

The palettes outer packaging is stunning. The box is black with golden-coppery Zodiac designs and palette itself is like this gorgeous Cobalt Blue shade with the same designs. It have a mirror which is a plus. I personally think that all Colourpop palettes should have mirrors. Regular palette cost $16, this one was $18.. so $2 for a mirror? Why not right! I really don't mind paying extra.

Now back to the palette. Inside we have 12 shades as there is 12 Zodiac signs. I think the shades are stunning and my sign The Pisces have the most beautiful shimmery teal shade! I am in love with it. Like I said shade variety is good, we have mixture of mattes, satins and shimmers. I love that the names are printed on the actual palette, like under every shade. I feel like some of the shades don't really match the names. I know if anyone of us got a chances of working on a palette like this would choose different shades. But over all I do like the shades that are in this palette, aside from the names.

* The Aries ~ gorgeous metallic warm orange and gold shimmer (my dad's sign).
* The Taurus ~ light matte brown (this is my daughter sign)
* The Gemini ~ light gold with metallic sheen (my husband sign)
* The Cancer ~ light peachy-pink with metallic sheen.
* The Leo ~ light orange with gold shimmer that gives beautiful sheen
* The Virgo ~ medium dark taupe brown matte finish (my brothers sign)

* The Libra ~ medium pink with satin finish (my mom's sign)
* The Scorpio ~ metallic plum, one of  my favorites in this palette
* The Sagittarius ~ deep berry purple matte shade
* The Capricorn ~ matte black with gold flex of glitter, love the way it looks in the pan
* The Aquarius ~ matte cobalt blue ( pretty color but hard to work with )
* The Pisces ~ sparkly aqua teal shade and yes my favorite in the palette.

The second palette i will talk will be Dream Street.

I know it took me forever getting this palettes. I wanted it since it came out , but there was always something else and I never got around ordering it. Until now. I grabbed the $32 two palette bundle and could not be happier!

Dream Street palette is dreamy! I don't know you guys I am so impressed with Colourpop palettes. This collaboration was before The Zodiac palette as all of you know.
I adore the the packaging on this palette. It is really subtle and dreamy! I dunno that moon get me every time :) the mixture of cream and metallic rose gold is beautiful. Then we have a moon and stars :) I love that the names are printed under each shade! Makes life so much easier!

The inside is so beautiful as well. And then we have shades. I like all the shades. Again there is a mixture of mattes, metallic and satin. To be honest I like the color selection in this palette more then in The Zodiac. I will be playing with both this coming week so both will stay up on my vanity for now. I so can't wait.

* Shooting Star ~ light medium brown, matte finish. Great transition shade.
* Magical ~ light peachy-orangy shade also matte finish.
* Star Dust ~ coppery metallic. Gorgeous shade
* Twinkle ~ rose gold with metallic sheen
* Sweet Dreams ~  champagne with golden shimmer
*  Water Bearer ~ matte deep blue teal

* Potion ~ deep red based orange (terracotta) with matte finish
* Spark ~ reddish nice and bright and vibrant
* Kaleidoscope ~ silvery metallic shade. Best used wet
* Elfish ~ deep dark chocolaty brown, matte finish
* Moony ~ light pinky shade, great for highlight, it has a pearly sheen
* Mermaid Boy ~ teal with brown undertone. Duochrome

Overall I like both palettes. But there are few similarities between few shades tho. I was swatching side by side some of the them and I will put the post shorty after this one. Not all are 100% same but they are very closely matched. I will definetly find myself using more of a Dream Street palette, coz I just love rose gold, coppery shimmers. But also The Zodiac have great colors that I can't not wait to play with.

Which palette did you liked more? Are Dream St team or The Zodiac team ? I will be ordering the remaining products from the Zodiac collection and I will be posting it as soonest I get it.
Let me know :)

Urban Decay Naked Heat ~ Worth the splurge? Swatches + review

I remember when Urban Decay released first photos of new Naked palette. And I remember reading many unhappy comments. That palette like this was done already, another warmed tone palette and what is UD thinking of coming up with a palette that no one will buy? Coz let's be honest how many warmed tone palette do we need?

when I saw the shadows in the palette I was on the fence. They were not my cup of tea. So I said to myself : passed. But, later on when I went to Sephora and saw it on the display, guess what ? I bought it!

I could not help myself.  It spoke to me on so many levels. How could I say no to all these gorgeous terracotta shadows housed and very pretty packaging. I like warm shades so I could not passed on it. there is a mix of mattes and shimmers in the palette. All shades are nicely pigmented.  Except of En Fuego and Ashes I found these two were lacking of the pigment. They both can be build up tho. Scorched and Ember are my two favorites. I get nuts when it comes to shimmers :)
I kinda wish for a bit more darker shades in the palette, like maybe darker chocolaty brown? Coz I feel like when applying shadows on the lid they all mash up together. Like I we need a little darker for more definition.

Shades in the palette:
* Ounce ~ soft cream with slight shimmer
* Chaser ~ Light beige brown.
* Sauced ~ matte tan,
* Low Blow ~ light brown matte.
* Lumbre ~ burnt peach with gold shimmer, so freaking pretty
* He Devil ~ medium reddish brown.
* Dirty Talk ~ medium -dark coppery brown
*Scorched ~ oh my favorite , bronzy red metallic
* Cayenne ~ dark brown with warm undertones.
* En Fuego ~ reddish brown. really pretty but my is not pigmented enough.
* Ashes ~ purple plum with brown undertones, same as En Fuego not pigmented enough.
* Ember ~ dark bronzy brown metallic.

Personally I am really happy with the palette. the shimmery - metallic shades look better applied with wet brush or even a finger. Palette is prefect for either day and night looks. Was it worth the splurge? for me most definitely. I am a UD fan and their palette are amazing.  And as a makeup collector I need Heat palette with her sisters. I can tell I will be using it more toward Fall. Summer I like my makeup light and colorful. This palette scream Fall to me than Summer.

If you are a warm tones shadow lover or over all love UD palettes, get Heat palette. It is all up to you. If you think you will get a lot use out of it then what is topping you?

you can get it from Sephora, Ulta Beauty , UD webiste.
Price $54
