Elf's Bite Size Eye Shadow Palettes - Take it or Leave it?

*Purchased by me*

Can $3 eye shadow palette be any good?
Read this post and find out :)

I believe it was at the beginning of this year that ELF launched new tiny size eye shadow palettes.
Small palettes that come in 8 variation and contain 4 shades in each palette. Size wise perfect for travel and on the go beauty :) Its been a years since i tired ELF's eye shadows, and the ones I did were so bad! I know a lot of people loves the bigger palettes, the ones that cost $14. Even the $10 ones. I seriously suck coz ELF is one of the brands that I tent to skip over.. At my CVS they always have sales and good coupons but me , ugh I don't know ... I want a lot form the brand but always I go for different brand and different products. I just wait for some good promotion on ELF's website and will place order soon.

The bite size palettes when launched they sold out in minutes... I was hard for me to get a hold of it. But then one day I was browsing Ulta and I found them. Not all were in stock at that time but what ever was I added to my cart and waited for the rest. I think it took me 2-3 days and check them out. I was so excited! I knew I will blog about them regardless if they are good or bad. When I got the packages I was shocked to see that not all survived the trip to my home. Ulta didn't care much and just throw them in the box ... 5 out of 8 were broken and spilled all over the box. I called them right away and they were kind enough to re-ship the broken ones. Hence why this post is up soooo late.

Let me show you close ups of the palettes and later I will tell you my opinion if you didn't not guess already ...

* Cream and Sugar - nude toned palette that contains soft peach beige, gold champagne shimmer, bronze copper shimmer and deep brown. The first shade peachy beige is super light and it don't show well on my skin. I use it to buff out any harsh lines.

Shimmers are absolutely beautiful and beautifully pigmented.  I like this little quad for an easy every day and quick on the go look.

* Pumpkin Pie - warm toned nude palette that includes warm terra-cotta nude, orange copper shimmer, warm beige nude and bronze shimmer. This palette is so pretty and all colors come together nicely.

Unfortunately there is no dark shade that you could put in outer corner so I like to go to Cream and Sugar palette and use that dark brown or I go the palette below:)

* Truffles - a neutral tone palette. Contains beautiful shimmery silver, cool beige, dark brown and deep black.

Im not fan of black but love all other three shades. throw a silver all over the lid, lighter brown in the crease and darker brown in the outer corner and the look is done :)

* Carnival Candy - neutral with a pop of blue. includes soft cream, tan brown, deep red and jewel toned shimmery blue.

I'm not gonna lie I got this palette for the blue. And wow its beautiful.

* Rose Water - soft toned palette that includes soft rose shimmer, beige nude, deep rose shimmer and chocolate brown.

This palette is soft and really pretty! What I like to do it to pair this and Berry Bad palette together. I think they both compliments each other really well.

* Berry Bad - warm berry tones palette that includes pinky nude, rose copper shimmer, rich warm berry shimmer and deep red.

this palette works good with the softer one, as the colors kinda blend one into another.

* Hot Jalapeno- green and gold palette that includes yellow gold shimmer, green gold shimmer, olive green and black.

I love green and gold shades. I was never brave enough to wear green all over the lid but in the outer corner and lash line I like very much :)

* Acai You - blue, purple palette. Includes soft periwinkle, purple blue shimmer, deep purple blue and dark blue purple.

Its a pretty palette but the colors kinda get all muddy and kinda blend one into another. I like it but it is the not my favorite .

Overall I do feel these are worth it. I really like majority of it with exception of one or two.
They said these they are good for travel but I would be very careful with it. The shadows are really soft and they can be easily  broken. Some get a lot of kick up so be easy when you go with the brush. But for $3 I feel that they are worth the try.

Used Up Makeup That I Love So Much I Will Repurchase

*purchased by me*

It really feels good when you hit pan on your favorite products does it?
I kinda feel like an ass coz I hit pan many many times through out the years and I don't think I took a pic or posted on my socials. Once it was done I just dumped it in the garbage and went ahead and grabbed new one.
What I can do is to take a pictures of whatever was repurchased :) Maybe I can find a pan pic? Hmmm let me check my camera feed.

For now lets talk about the picture I posted on my IG few weeks ago.

As you can see there are 3 bronzers, powder, primer and foundation.
Gosh don't let me started on how many bottles of foundation I went through out the years...

Let me start with Touch in Sol No Pore Blem Primer - omg this have become a staple in my routine. First bottle was gifted to me by my sister in law and once it was running low I repurchased it on ULTA as they had it for around $12. I need this with me at all times. And once I am done with this bottle you can be sure I will be repurchasing it.

Then we have Maybelline SuperStay 24H full coverage foundation (shade 120 Classic Ivory) - I purchased this when it first came out. The shade match was not the best, I felt like it was a bit too dark, but we don't have testers so it was kinda hard... Overall this is really good foundation. Will I repurchase once I am done with it (a tiny bit left) , not sure... They are other drugstore foundations that I like a bit more then this one ( they will be mention at the end of this post coz I did repurchase some more then once).

Cover Girl Vitalist Healthy Power (Classic Ivory) - I think this is an amazing powder. Very creamy and to my surprise it controls shine. I used a RT powder blush with this and any powder I have. I really like it, hence the huge pan I hit. I will continue using it up and I find it again I will repurchase. I believe they did discontinued this product so it will be a hassle for me to find a replacement.

Now bronzers... I am going through bronzers like they are water :) Much more so then the powders.... What can I say I lime bronzers a lot :)
The three I hit pan on and are already been thrown out are :

* Wet n Wild - Palm Beach Ready and Sunset Striptease - I love them both! I did a swatch and review a while back, here is the link. Both are so affordable and worked so well on my skin. I will be repurchasing both as soonest I can :)

* The Balm - Balm Dessert Bronzer - I bought this few years ago. It was either at Imats or Ipsy Gen Beauty. I was torn between this one and Bahama Mama. I went with Balm Dessert as it was a bit cooler and better match for me. I actually really like this bronzer and when ever Balm will have 50% off I will be getting it back and well as oone or two from the Oscar line :) Yes I been eyeing them for a quite sometime now :)

Now here are products that I did repurchased and love:
* Maybelline Fit Me Foundation - my 3rd bottle
* Loreal Infallible Foundation - 2nd bottle
* Revlon ColorStay foundation for oily/combo skin - 3rd bottle
* Wet N Wild Photo Focus powder - 2nd
YSl Primer - I went through two mini (thrown them away a while ago). Pictured three more, one is gone, second almost gone and third one full. These are minis and I love this primer. I will be getting full size one day :)

* Loreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick in the shade Burnished Blush - completely gone. Picture show a bit left but its been gone for a while now. I haven't repurchase since but I am planning on. I was keeping it at my work and wearing it daily.

I think that's what I remember from top of my head.
I am not including mascaras in this post. There will be a whole post on that. I have a bag full of used up mascaras that I really want to write about. So stay tuned.

What is your most repurchased product?

Maybelline Made For All Lipstick Review + Swatches

*purchased by me*

Few months ago, Maybelline launched Made for All lipsticks, that were tested on 50 different skin tones to be universally flattering for all. There is 7 shades in total and they retail $7.49.

First I bought Plum For Me,as this and Pink were the only one left on CVS display.
I haven't wear it yet and was in love already. The shade was prefect. It might look plumy in the bullet but its like darker pink berry on my lips. Not whats in the bullet. It applies like a dream and it stays on through out the day. I freaking adore it so much I made another trip to CVS and found Ruby For Me and untouched Pink For Me

The packaging  is regular Maybelline packaging. The cap is the color of the lipstick housed inside.
The formula  really stands true to its claim, vivid pigmentation and rich texture that feels really good on the lips. Its creamy and glides on so smoothly.
Few of the main ingredients are: Lanolin Oil, Castor Oil,Sesame Seed Oil and Beeswax. I love how good it feels on the lips. I am really impressed with it.

Here is a closer look on the shades I bought:

* Ruby For All - a classic red that I needed it. Its beautiful bright red with cool undertones. If you look for a perfect red look no further :) If you need a warmer red get Red For Me as it looked like it had orange undertones. I don't own it and I don't think I will be getting it.I prefer cool toned reds.

*Pink for Me - its light pink that is actually very flattering on me. And personally it looks more like mauve on me.I was looking into  Mauve For Me, but it was more like a nudy brown and tbh I don't feel like brown lipsticks look good on me. And this pink is actually beautiful and perfect for every day.

* Plum For Me -  described as a rich medium berry. On me it looks like a pink berry. It looks more plumy in the bullet like I mention before. But the shade will look different on all, depends on your lip pigment. My bff wore it and it look so much more different on her. But over all so so pretty on both of us.

Swatches:

I am loving these and Plum For Me I been wearing for a past two weeks non stop. I adore the shade and the best is that it leaves a stain behind. So you either can add more color or just leave it like it is.

How about you do you own any? Which shade is calling you name?

New Pixi Beauty EYE REFECTION SHADOW PALETTES ~ swatches + reivew

*pr sample*

Oh Pixi! I must say the new palettes are gorgeous! So pleasing to look at and yet very fun to play with.
As you didn't know Pixi not only makes great skin care but also great makeup products. These two palettes are the great example of it.

The new palettes are truly stunning and personally can't stop  playing with it .

Reflex Light ~ gorgeous warm toned palette that creates beautiful looks :) The shades are pigmented and blend really nice. And all 12 shades are metallic and I love it! I know I know some of you would prefer a nice matte shade, transition matte shade to be precise. But I love metallics and I can always use  use a matte from a different palette. The metallic formula glides on like butter and just preforms so well :)
Swatches :)

I really really like this one as I am a die hard fan of metallics and shimmers.

Natural Beauty ~ mixed of warm and cooler shades as well as metallics and mattes. On a side not the second shade in the top row, arrived broken. But thanks to formula I just had to press it together and voila! Shade almost looked like a brand new :) Thank God I didn't have to use alcohol, personally I don;t like it and I feel like the shadow is not same. This palette will give you a good variety of shades, and will complete the look as you have all the shades and formulas you need.
Swatches :0

I really like this one as well, who knew I would like cooler tones :)

Below is the view on a PR box and the brushes, that I didn't use it yet.

I do think PIXI formula improved form previous palettes. Can't wait to see what more they have in store for us.

Christmas with Profusion Cosmetics ~ thoughts on a new collection

*pr sample*

Guys! OMG as you can see in a picture above I got the new Christmas Collection by Profusion Cosmetics. WOW, its so gorgeous! Just quick fyi I went ahead and ordered three more eye shadow palettes and lip kit. :) Just coz I had to have them all.

Anyways the new collection as you can see it breathtaking.
As always the main focus are the eye shadow palettes. Summer collection launched 3 and now we have 4.

In my PR box I got Wanderlust and I am obsessed with it. Everything about this palette is perfect. The price, the shades and the quality. As I mentioned before the eye shadows a really good.
The shades are hi-pigment, soft and blend-able. As you can see we have a nice verity of pinks, purples, greens and blues.  The top row when I swatches kinda reminded me of pastel shades. Especially the last two shades. As always the shimmers swatch and apply like a dream, especially if you use your finger. Some mattes are better then others. I found few powdery but still they blend nicely. I just live for these colors.

21 shadows housed in a black plastic palette with clear lid and glittery gold trim around it. I find that to be perfect touch! all for $10!
I can't wait to create some holiday inspired look with it.

The second palette I got was the new, up-grated Mix Metals palette. I got my in shade Pink :) I own the previous mix metals palettes and I love them. They are really really good. And now Profusion re-vamped them and viola! Totally new packaging and new layout. I like how the actual palette packaging matches the names, example Mix Metals Pink is pink, Mix Metals Gold is gold, there is also Silver and Rose Gold. I am not gonna lie at some point I want them all. Hoping Profusion will have some sort of promo before or after holidays :) The Gold one will definitely be my. I will insert below pictures of the other ones :) Just so you can lust after them like me hahah.

Now back to the Pink palettes that was sent to me. The palette is a part of the kit. It comes with a belnding brush, that is actually really nice and pink glitter liquid liner. The palette itself contains 8 pink toned eye shadows and two face powders (highlight and blush). There are 4 mattes, 1 matte with shimmer and 3 shimmers. The blush is matte pink and highlighter coppery gold.

The whole set retail $10, which is not bad, especially considering the products you get. I did play with the shadows already and they blend good and the look I got was really soft and girly :) I have not yet used that glittery eyeliner tho.

The third eyeshadow palette is the eye case Bare Eyes. Perfect nude, travel friendly eyeshadow palette. 10 shades are housed in a metal case, it comes with dual ended brush and a mirror. Bare Eyes is you everyday nude palette. If you don't like colors much this is prefect option. I like how you get nice variety of  7 mattes and 3 shimmers. Again pigmented and blendable. The shimmers are so pretty and works perfectly with the mattes. Mattes although are a bit powdery they do blend nicely.

This palette retails $7 and they have three more color choices.

Next one up is Highlight and Contour palette. Cute mini size palette with 6 shades (3 highlighting shades and 3 contouring shades). I said mini but you get 0.12 oz for highlighting shades and 0.62 for contouring, and if I am not mistaken this palette retails only for $5. So not bad, I don't know if you can find cheaper then that. The packaging to be honest its not so great. Cardboard with flimsy top, but the products on the other hand are great! 2 matte highlighters, which will work great as under eye setting powders, 1 gorgeous shimmer and 3 bronzers. The bronzers look really nice and have nice depth to it. Not too muddy or orangy. Again this makes great travel friendly palette :)

And the last but not least is the lipstick set. I love their lipsticks! Guys! this set is only $5 and its so freaking good! I am about to order more and give my friends for Christmas! I got Fierce set, which is deep purple berry and I didn't know I would love this as much as I do now.

The lipstick is so creamy and so opaque! paired with lip liner is a perfect duo. What I love the most is the glossy lip topper with a matching color. OMG it changes the everything and it looks so good! Not even sticky! and the best part, even with the glossy hi-shine lip topper the lipstick last whole day! Like I only re-applied it
once!

for $5 a set I am getting reaming colors and some for friends!

What are your thoughts on this collection? Have you picked up anything yet? What is on your wish list? Looking forward on your feedback :)

*I already got my Black Friday order and I will be posting it soon :)

Below the Metal Mix sets I been eyeing :) Silver, Rose Gold and Gold
