Elf's Bite Size Eye Shadow Palettes - Take it or Leave it?

*Purchased by me*

Can $3 eye shadow palette be any good?
Read this post and find out :)

I believe it was at the beginning of this year that ELF launched new tiny size eye shadow palettes.
Small palettes that come in 8 variation and contain 4 shades in each palette. Size wise perfect for travel and on the go beauty :) Its been a years since i tired ELF's eye shadows, and the ones I did were so bad! I know a lot of people loves the bigger palettes, the ones that cost $14. Even the $10 ones. I seriously suck coz ELF is one of the brands that I tent to skip over.. At my CVS they always have sales and good coupons but me , ugh I don't know ... I want a lot form the brand but always I go for different brand and different products. I just wait for some good promotion on ELF's website and will place order soon.

The bite size palettes when launched they sold out in minutes... I was hard for me to get a hold of it. But then one day I was browsing Ulta and I found them. Not all were in stock at that time but what ever was I added to my cart and waited for the rest. I think it took me 2-3 days and check them out. I was so excited! I knew I will blog about them regardless if they are good or bad. When I got the packages I was shocked to see that not all survived the trip to my home. Ulta didn't care much and just throw them in the box ... 5 out of 8 were broken and spilled all over the box. I called them right away and they were kind enough to re-ship the broken ones. Hence why this post is up soooo late.

Let me show you close ups of the palettes and later I will tell you my opinion if you didn't not guess already ...

* Cream and Sugar - nude toned palette that contains soft peach beige, gold champagne shimmer, bronze copper shimmer and deep brown. The first shade peachy beige is super light and it don't show well on my skin. I use it to buff out any harsh lines.

Shimmers are absolutely beautiful and beautifully pigmented.  I like this little quad for an easy every day and quick on the go look.

* Pumpkin Pie - warm toned nude palette that includes warm terra-cotta nude, orange copper shimmer, warm beige nude and bronze shimmer. This palette is so pretty and all colors come together nicely.

Unfortunately there is no dark shade that you could put in outer corner so I like to go to Cream and Sugar palette and use that dark brown or I go the palette below:)

* Truffles - a neutral tone palette. Contains beautiful shimmery silver, cool beige, dark brown and deep black.

Im not fan of black but love all other three shades. throw a silver all over the lid, lighter brown in the crease and darker brown in the outer corner and the look is done :)

* Carnival Candy - neutral with a pop of blue. includes soft cream, tan brown, deep red and jewel toned shimmery blue.

I'm not gonna lie I got this palette for the blue. And wow its beautiful.

* Rose Water - soft toned palette that includes soft rose shimmer, beige nude, deep rose shimmer and chocolate brown.

This palette is soft and really pretty! What I like to do it to pair this and Berry Bad palette together. I think they both compliments each other really well.

* Berry Bad - warm berry tones palette that includes pinky nude, rose copper shimmer, rich warm berry shimmer and deep red.

this palette works good with the softer one, as the colors kinda blend one into another.

* Hot Jalapeno- green and gold palette that includes yellow gold shimmer, green gold shimmer, olive green and black.

I love green and gold shades. I was never brave enough to wear green all over the lid but in the outer corner and lash line I like very much :)

* Acai You - blue, purple palette. Includes soft periwinkle, purple blue shimmer, deep purple blue and dark blue purple.

Its a pretty palette but the colors kinda get all muddy and kinda blend one into another. I like it but it is the not my favorite .

Overall I do feel these are worth it. I really like majority of it with exception of one or two.
They said these they are good for travel but I would be very careful with it. The shadows are really soft and they can be easily  broken. Some get a lot of kick up so be easy when you go with the brush. But for $3 I feel that they are worth the try.

Sinful Colors LE Nail Polish swatches from Indie Sol and Boho Beat Collections

Haven't done a nail polish swatch post in a while right?  I stumbled on a Sinful Colors display at my local rite aid a while back and I been obsessed with it ever since. I love Sinful Colors polishes so when I saw all the new shades I had to grab them all.

What get me confusing is the name of the collection. My display was called Indie Sol and had all the polishes in it. But when I was searching online for the correct name I came up with Boho Beat collection as well. So some polishes are from Boho Beat and some are from Indie Sol.

Anyways here are the swatches of each color :

* Rave New World ~  this one is in Indie Sol collection , according to Sinful Colors website. It is such a pretty  lighter blue with subtle pink shimmer. And it looks so good on my light skin. It applied evenly and all I needed was two coats.  It a little bit darker then periwinkle.

* We're in Tents ~ this one belongs to Boho Beat collection, according to Sinful Colors website. It is beautiful shimmery green. And I guess one of the most popular shade in the collection. The group I'm in on FB, I see girl dying to get their hands on it.  I like green polishes and this one as well applies evenly and you need two coats of it.

* Positive Vibez ~ this one is in Indie Sol collection , according to Sinful Colors website. Such a pretty subtle shimmery rosy pink color. This is one perfect for a soft mani, on a days that you don't want to wear nothing "in your faced" kinda shades.

* Jelly Ellie ~  this one is in Indie Sol collection , according to Sinful Colors website. Pretty peachy shimmery shade. In the bottle it looks more pink, but once on the nails you can see it is more peachy. If you looking for pink go with Postive Vibez.  Jelly Ellie I notice its another popular shade next to "We're in Tents". I wore it last week and it lasted on for 5 days and well it looked gorgeous.

* Sundown Getdown ~  this one belongs to Boho Beat collection, according to Sinful Colors website. this is a bright orangy-red shade with pink shimmer. On me looks more orange then red. Again another fun . juicy color perfect for summer.

* Sunglasses at Night ~  this one belongs to Boho Beat collection, according to Sinful Colors website. Pretty aqua blue. This one is a cream finish . so sparkles or shimmers in it. To be honest I can't wait to wear it! this screams summer on so many levels.

Which shade did you like?

Milani Comestics ~ Must Have Metallics Palette ~ review + swatches

OMG this little gem is finally mine! Guys I am so happy to finally own it.
I been dying to get my hands on this palette since it came out. But there were always something to do or to buy.
I saw a newly  re-done  Milani display at my local CVS with this beauty included.  And since CVS offered $4 Extrabucks back of any $10 Milani purchase, then why not buy it! So I did. I got pretty palette and ExtraBucks :)

Just s the name suggest this palette is mostly Metallic. It comes in a gold plastic case with clear lid. Just like the other palettes.
I really am obsessed with all the colors.
The pigmentation is freaking amazing. They are  buttery soft and  well super intense. There is one satin and one matte shade. The black is obviously matte, and the first cream color is satin.
This palette is perfect for all metallic lovers.  That cranberry red was calling my name for a very long time hahah! The min reason why I decided to purchase this beauty.

Overall I am super pleased with this palette. Milani Cosmetics really is steeping their game! Lately they been launching amazing products that call out to every beauty junkie. I myself want to get few more products  The highlighters look amazing, some of the other palettes that come in the golden packaging are on my wish list.   Milani palettes are one of the best at the drugstore. And also they have released recently new bigger palettes, one all matte and the other metallic. They retail for about $20 each and hopefully I can get them soon.

Do you own any of the Milani palettes? Which one is your favorite?

L.A. Colors Iced Pigment Powder ~ Swatches

A little over a month ago I saw that my local Beauty Supply store got new L.A. Colors Iced Pigment Powders.  Yes! I was so happy. Ever since I saw a IG post and swatches I died.. I really wanted them! I remember going back and forward and looking for them.

Finally I saw them a week ago and I went back yesterday and I picked 5 colors.
But trust me I will be going back for the reaming shades, coz the pigments are gorgeous!
I am surprised that no one talks about them ... was looking for reviews and swatches on google and nothing. I found few swatches on IG  and that;s it.

I think they are amazing. If you like pigments give them a try :)
They are bold and metallic. Highly pigmented.
Each comes in a plastic clear cube with metallic cover that reflex color of pigment inside.
They look amazing over the primer :)
There is 12 beautiful shades in the collection.
I picked 5 for now :) The ones that i wanted the most.
I swatched them with my finger and brush to show you on how intense they can be! brush application and the color pay off is amazing. I did not use any primer,

* Toasted ~ metallic rose gold
* Glowing ~ metallic copper
* Glisten ~ metallic chocolate brown
* Glean ~ metallic navy blue
* Twinkle ~ metallic teal

| top swatch is with a finger bottom with brush |

My Beauty Supply store sells them for $2.99 each, but I found them on Ikatehouse for $1.99. I think the reaming shades I just going to order from there.

New At The Drugstore ~ Milani Cosmetics Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe Palettes ~ Swatches

Hello Loves, it is finally snowing here in NYC. I wanted snow for Christmas but oh well...
Anyways today i want to show you swatches of new Milani Cosmetics  Products I picked up yesterday.
I went to look for Jordana's Lipsticks for a Friend and I found a display of new Spotlight Strobe Palettes by Milani.
Milani is my favorite drugstore brand. Their products are amazing and always luxurious looking. The gold packaging is everything:) plus the quality of the products is so on point! I could rave about them forever :)  This year Milani is on fire! They launching so many great products that I can't wait to get my hands on, I just need $$$. LOL! But no seriously, all the new stuff is keep showing at my local drugstore and get this the prices are better than on Milani's website (just a thought)
These Spotlight powders retails at $13 at Milani web I got them for $12.

"Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe palette is ultimate multitasking glow powder with universal flattering shades to illuminate face and eye like never before. Light-reflecting powders build and blend effortlessly for an instant glow. Use as a blush, highlight or an eye accent and to spotlight all of your pretty features with beautiful luminosity."

Ah they are so pretty! I just don't want to touch it. The design reminds me of Hourglass eye shadow palettes. The sand dunes design is everything!
Milani Spotlight palette comes with in 3 color selection and each palette have a 3 shades in. Blush, Bronzer, Highlight.

* Sun Light 01 ~ the lightest in the trio comes with white gold highlighter, copper bronzer and coral blush.  Warm toned.

* Candle light 02 ~ medium, comes with pink-pearl highlighter, caramel bronzer and pink blush. Cool toned.

* Golden Light 03 ~ the darkest of all includes all shades of bronze (warm, deep and light).

All three are just stunning!
The packaging is kinda bulky. Its black and square with clear lid.
The products swatched with a finger looks  beautiful. When you use brush and apply to your face it gives you more natural look. It's not crazy pigmented, I know it looks like it might be but it is not.
I over all don't mind it, I like more of natural look and products that wont do me harm hahaha. With more pigmented products I always tend to 'hurt' myself hahah and it so hard to fix.  With these Milani I can work and not be afraid that once I am done I would look like a clown or glitter ball.
I say that if you like super crazy pigmented products these Milani are not for you. If you are like me and like more of natural look and don't mind the lack of pigmentation, they will work for you :)

Swatches of new Maybelline 24k Nudes Eye shadow palette

When you see a new Maybelline display with new products you get them girl!
I was actually debating should I or not grab the new 24K palette. I have other Maybelline palettes and they are ok. Nothing really special. With no offence Cover Girl Palettes are way better. But here we are reading of Spring 2017 24k Nude palette.

First off I read that Maybelline reformulated all palettes including this one. When I look at it I see that the shadows might be better, they do have the buttery look to it.
I actually like the color selection in this palette. 12 jewel tone shadows and they are gorgeous :) btw I can't wait to grab new jewel tone Cover Girl palette! Did you see it? A IG friend form Canada posted on her ig and blog. So yeah I am excited.
Now let get back to 24k Nude palette.  I am so off topic today. Don't judge this is my 4th blog post I am writing today.

palette packaging is same as the other ones. And like Blushes Nudes the outer packaging is different, This one is more of tarnish gold I would say.
On the back we have suggestion on different looks and ingredient list.
Clear lid so you can see shades inside. Wish there was a mirror tho. It also comes with sponge applicator.

Now the shadows :) I love the colors and how they all look inside of the palette. We have mattes, shimmers and satin.
They do feel more buttery then previous ones. I feel like they will applies better with a sponge applicator or finger (more intense) and over a primer! make sure you use primer for better color pay off and longer lasting..

Another thing this palette will work better if paired with others. The colors are either light or too dark. They are really dark and they all look almost same.

Overall this is not a bad palette. but definitely  better then previous ones.
I got my at Rite Aid it was on 40% off and i paid less than $7
