New Drugstore Palettes ~ feat. Maybelline, Milani Cosmetics and Physicians Formula ~ Do you need them?

*Purchase by me*

Drugstore is a roll with all the new palettes or should I say Physicians Formula is.
I was thinking of doing a separate post for each palette but then I changed my mind and will include them here :) I feel its better if you see them all together and make your choice if you want it or not.

First let's start with Maybelline Nudes of New York - all I have to say about this palette is wow wow wow....wow. Finally a palette in drugstore that is amazing seriously worth every penny. I actually didn't want a new palette but ugh I got it at discounted price and I could not be happier.

If you think that this one is same formula as the other palettes, im looking at you Nudes and Blushes Nudes, think again. This is so much better, 10000 times better. Even better then the city minis palette. We got mattes, we got shimmer and they all are so pleasant to work with. The 7 metallic shades are gorgeous. I personally like to apply them with my fingers :) the 9 mattes blend really good. I feel if you like nude shadows you will totally love this palette.

Seriously try it and let me know :) Retails $14

Next lets stick with warm neutrals shades. Milani Cosmetics Most Wanted in the shade Burning Desire - I think these are newer ones that recently launched. I believe there is 5 total. I only was able to get one. Now let me tell you that these remind me of the Maybelline formula, and no not the new palettes Nudes of New York, but the City Minis. City Minis formula was good at the time when they came out. Over the years most of the brand improved their formulas. I am not saying its bad, but it is not the best. The shadows feel really soft, there is a lot of kicks up a lot of powder and when you blend them they kinda blend away, just like Milani Gilded palettes. When swatched shades look beautiful. But once applied I get just one look. I used 2nd matte and 5th matte and they kinda blend it together and there is no saying which one was which. Even when applying 3rd and/or 6th shimmer, looks feel like everything blend into one warm shade on the eye.

I guess I could use this as a side kick to other palettes I  have in my collection. Its pretty to look at but meh when applied. I don't think palette is necessary. Retails $10

Moving on to two Physicians Formula palettes I have:

* Rose All Play - lets just start by saying I love the packaging and the whole Rose All Day line is amazing. This palette comes in pretty flowery cardboard. the eye shadows are shaped like roses and its just brings the look of flower bouquet all together. When you first look at it it looks like Hudas New nudes palette. I don't own the original so I can't compare but I will say it is not the best dupe out there. I love the shades, I adore these type of the shades, pretty pinks, mauve's and pretty shimmers :)

Some matte shades have a kick up but not as bad as the Milani one. Shadows blend nicely together and I like to top them with the glitters that I use my finger to apply.  Over all I like this one and recommend getting it on sale :) Retails $18

* The Gold Vault - pretty but bulky packaging. This is all shimmer palette. There is no mattes or satin shades. There is shimmery bronzer shade and shimmery gold highlighter. Pigmenation on these is crazy! they shimmery sparkly what ever you want to call it LOL. I can get away using light handed that bronzer. But highlighter? NO. There is total of 8 eye shadows. Again all shimmery. But heck you can get a nice eye look out of it :)

I was not sure I would like this palette but well I do! If you need mattes your can totally grab another palette, no harm there. ON the side note, some one compared this to New UD Honey palette and they look so similar! wish I had Honey so I could compare it as well :)  Retails $18

Out of all I believe Maybelline one will be the most popular with all and for all the good reasons :) I would recommend that the most. The second comes both PF palettes. Lastly Milani. Milani formula is not my favorite... If you can find any of the Obssesion palettes get them, formula on these is amazing and I heard Milani is discontinuing it.

Milani Comestics ~ Must Have Metallics Palette ~ review + swatches

OMG this little gem is finally mine! Guys I am so happy to finally own it.
I been dying to get my hands on this palette since it came out. But there were always something to do or to buy.
I saw a newly  re-done  Milani display at my local CVS with this beauty included.  And since CVS offered $4 Extrabucks back of any $10 Milani purchase, then why not buy it! So I did. I got pretty palette and ExtraBucks :)

Just s the name suggest this palette is mostly Metallic. It comes in a gold plastic case with clear lid. Just like the other palettes.
I really am obsessed with all the colors.
The pigmentation is freaking amazing. They are  buttery soft and  well super intense. There is one satin and one matte shade. The black is obviously matte, and the first cream color is satin.
This palette is perfect for all metallic lovers.  That cranberry red was calling my name for a very long time hahah! The min reason why I decided to purchase this beauty.

Overall I am super pleased with this palette. Milani Cosmetics really is steeping their game! Lately they been launching amazing products that call out to every beauty junkie. I myself want to get few more products  The highlighters look amazing, some of the other palettes that come in the golden packaging are on my wish list.   Milani palettes are one of the best at the drugstore. And also they have released recently new bigger palettes, one all matte and the other metallic. They retail for about $20 each and hopefully I can get them soon.

Do you own any of the Milani palettes? Which one is your favorite?

Beauty Favorites 2017 ~ January

Ok I know its like the middle of February already, but here are my January Favorites :) Last year I kinda skipped these type of posts. I might posted once or twice .. shame on me right. I personally like reading monthly favorites. This year one of my blogging goals is to post them every month.

So with that said let me show you my January Favorites.

Wet N wild Photofocus foundation ~ new addition to wet n wild family. I was not really looking for this foundation I kinda stumbled on it while looking for Kandee Polishes LOL. There was not many colors left. I picked two. Shell Ivory is better match then Beige one.  I came to really like it. It have a cool applicator. I like to blend with damp sponge. I tried with brushes but it leaves my skin looking dry and cakey. I know people complain about the smell but personally it don't bother me. It gives a nice coverage. And its really cheap too! Next I want to grab concealers and faced powders :)

Milani Cosmetics Make It Last Makeup Spray ~ this makeup spray is amazing! It have a great spray nozzle that spays fine mist directly on the face and not anywhere else. It did eliminated the powder look on my face! big plus for that! Although it didn't last 16h as it claims it did last around 9h for me , which is not bad :) Right now this is my go to setting and priming spray :)

Now let me tell you about my two favorites that I can not live without.
Art Deco Eye Shadow Base  and Clarins Supra-Volume Mascara. Holy Crap! both products are just simply amazing. ArtDeco eye-shadow base keep my eye-shadow on my lid the whole day. I mean it no creasing, no fading. The way I applied them in morning stays put through out the day. It comes in small (5ml) jar and it smells like  a men cologne. Why does it smell like a cologne? I don;t know but I love it! I love the smell! This is great primer if you have an oily lids :) Definitely try it out :) It is not only my favorite, my fellow polish blogger Monika (Candymona) loves it just as much. She told me she is on her 3rd jar! :)
Now Clarins Supra-Volume Mascara I cant get enough of it. It makes my lashes so beautiful, think and black. It makes them long and makes them look like a fake lashes! I don't wear fake lashes and now I don't need to coz I have Clarins Mascara :) I usually put on 2 to 3 coats :) Its intensely black. The wand is amazing it catches all the lashes and just adds life to them :) The formula is more on a wetter side. Over all this mascara will be purchased as soonest its gone. I think I found my holy grail you guys ! you want super sexy lashes ? Use Supra-Volume you wont regret.

Now let me show you some eye shadows that i been loving past month :)
ArtDeco  Most Wanted palette NUDE ~  to be honest I thought I will not like this palette. And boy I was wrong. I do like it and I like it a lot. It prefect mix of mattes and shimmers in brown, grey and rose hues. The color complements each other and blends really nice. The shimmer rose shade is my favorite!
The other shadows I been loving are by MBA Cosmetics. I love their eye shadows.  They are pigmented, soft and they blend like a dream. Silk FX Shadows are my favorite. The ones I been loving last month are :
* Peach Frost ~ shimmery frosty peach
* True Love ~ matte, light nude pink
* Blue Carrauco ~ shimmery vivid tropical blue
* Sangria ~ rich and sultry burgundy
* Turquoise ~ shimmery blue green
* Honey ~ shimmery golden tan
The way I like to use them was: blend True love in my crease. Peach frost all over my lid. Smoked out with a bit of Sangria. Honey in my inner corner and either Blue Carrauco or Turquoise on my lower lash line :)

now for lips I really liked :
* Fairy Girl Rose Goddess Liquid Lipstick ~ when Fairy Girl told me the brands is coming out with liquid lipsticks I was so happy! Their lipsticks are amazing but the liquid ones way better! Out of all my most used one is Rose Goddess, which is a gorgeous mauve rose shade. The formula is amazing, the time wear about 8h.
* Colourpop Calypso Satin Liquid Lipstick ~ that's it I love satin liquid lipsticks by Colourpop. Pretty  rosy nude shade.. I really like the formula on this one as well.  Mousse type consistency  that  applies opaque in one swipe. It dries to satin finish on the lips and lasted about 8h on me.
* Jordana Sweet Creme Matte Liquid Lipstick Tiramisu ~ I was not expect them to be so good. Dang Jordana! Tiramisu is one of two Jordana's Sweet Creme Matte lip[sticks I picked up early this year. Unfortunately my display had all reds left and I am nude type of girl :) any who I love this formula and this shade! Tiramisu is beautiful rosy brown with a 90's vibe to it. I love how it look on me. Surprisingly wore so good! It have a mousse texture and opaque in one swipe :) Defiantly need more! even the reds!
(top Jordana, middle colourpop, bottom Fairy Girl)

And last let me show you my favorite duo that I was wearing on my nails since Christmas.
London Town nail color in Brill-and and China Glaze in Define Good..
Both look stunning on  the nails and both wear nicely over base and top coat by London Town.
London Town Brill-ant bold metallic rose shade! OMG this is one of my all time favorite colors! Its simply stunning and well it look amazing paired with China Glaze Define Good which is rich cranberry shimmer shade :)

So that would be it . My January Favorites :) Do you know any of the products? What did you love in January ?

xoxo Monica

New At The Drugstore ~ Milani Cosmetics Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe Palettes ~ Swatches

Hello Loves, it is finally snowing here in NYC. I wanted snow for Christmas but oh well...
Anyways today i want to show you swatches of new Milani Cosmetics  Products I picked up yesterday.
I went to look for Jordana's Lipsticks for a Friend and I found a display of new Spotlight Strobe Palettes by Milani.
Milani is my favorite drugstore brand. Their products are amazing and always luxurious looking. The gold packaging is everything:) plus the quality of the products is so on point! I could rave about them forever :)  This year Milani is on fire! They launching so many great products that I can't wait to get my hands on, I just need $$$. LOL! But no seriously, all the new stuff is keep showing at my local drugstore and get this the prices are better than on Milani's website (just a thought)
These Spotlight powders retails at $13 at Milani web I got them for $12.

"Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe palette is ultimate multitasking glow powder with universal flattering shades to illuminate face and eye like never before. Light-reflecting powders build and blend effortlessly for an instant glow. Use as a blush, highlight or an eye accent and to spotlight all of your pretty features with beautiful luminosity."

Ah they are so pretty! I just don't want to touch it. The design reminds me of Hourglass eye shadow palettes. The sand dunes design is everything!
Milani Spotlight palette comes with in 3 color selection and each palette have a 3 shades in. Blush, Bronzer, Highlight.

* Sun Light 01 ~ the lightest in the trio comes with white gold highlighter, copper bronzer and coral blush.  Warm toned.

* Candle light 02 ~ medium, comes with pink-pearl highlighter, caramel bronzer and pink blush. Cool toned.

* Golden Light 03 ~ the darkest of all includes all shades of bronze (warm, deep and light).

All three are just stunning!
The packaging is kinda bulky. Its black and square with clear lid.
The products swatched with a finger looks  beautiful. When you use brush and apply to your face it gives you more natural look. It's not crazy pigmented, I know it looks like it might be but it is not.
I over all don't mind it, I like more of natural look and products that wont do me harm hahaha. With more pigmented products I always tend to 'hurt' myself hahah and it so hard to fix.  With these Milani I can work and not be afraid that once I am done I would look like a clown or glitter ball.
I say that if you like super crazy pigmented products these Milani are not for you. If you are like me and like more of natural look and don't mind the lack of pigmentation, they will work for you :)

Milani Cosmetics Everyday Eyes 'Earthly Elements' Eyeshadow palette ~ Swatches + Review

OMG I am so excited to see my favorite drugstore brand Milani Cosmetics came out with a eyeshadow palettes! They just launched recently and there is total of 6 palettes available now.
If you know me , you know my love for Milani Cosmetics. They are by far the best drugstore brand! Their products are amazing, affordable and comes in the prettiest gold packaging ever. I could talk and talk about them, seriously!

I picked only Earthy Elements palette, coz this was the only one left...
It comes in beautiful rectangle gold packaging, with clear lid. Milani name is visible on the lid in gold ink.  Packaging is plastic but very good quality. Doesn't feel cheap. On the back you can see a tutorial on how to use the palettes and which shade is you base etc. Tells you step by step on how to use each color in the palette.  Normally I don't care much for those kind of tutorials. Each palette comes with dual-ended brush. Which is an actual brush and not a sponge one that most of the palettes uses.
I haven't use the brush, so I can really say if it is good or not.

The colors in this palette are gorgeous! Tell me you think so too! Especially that ORANGE! I actually wanted this palette, coz that color stand up and screamed my name form the pics when I first saw it. On the Milani Website this palette is described as "terracotta & earthy" Beautiful warm tones palette.
Eyeshadows are rich and pigmented! they feel soft and they blend really nice!
They are matte and shimmer shades. Shimmers swatches nice but they will create fallouts, especially the first (base) shade. It is just a glitter in my opinion. The other shimmers preform much better. and they are opaque in one swipe.   Mattes are nice, I had to swipe my finger few times so they swatch can be visible. Mattes are not my faves though. I really want to love them but they do take a lot of time to build it up.

Overall I really like this palette and I will be getting rest of the colors. Milani did really good :) I love to see drugstore brands coming out with a high quality palettes. I say go for it! The shadows are amazing and they wear long time over a primer.
Milani also launched few new products that I cant wait to get my hands on! Including new primers, foundation and liquid lipsticks!

I got my palette form CVS $10.99
You can find them at any drugstore that carry MILANI line and they are available on Milani Website for $9.99

What Are Did You Love Last Month?

Milani Cosmetics Constellation Gel Liners Fall 2015

I was lucky enough to find a display at my local Walgreens. Milani came out with similar ones last year too. But unfortunately I bought nothing... I only found empty displays.
I really wanted it even though they didn't have the best reviews. But come on you just want them in your collection, they are just so pretty too look at it.
So when I saw the new ones I grabbed all three,
The glitter/over-spray is just so beautiful.
I think they might be Limited Edition like the ones form last year.

Here are this year shades:
* 04 Evening Star (silver, blue)
* 05 Celestial (mix of pinks, golds and browns)
* 06 Galaxy  (mix of greens)

Now a moment of truth. I mean if you have the last year ones you know what I am about to say.
Underneath of that gorgeous over spray we get regular liner. That means all that glitter don't run through the entire pot. Sucks...
Evening star is a black liner, Celestial is brown and Galaxy ~ really dark green almost black. I really wont be able to tell the difference between Galaxy and Evening star once the glitter is gone.
I did swatched them on my hand and they did not dry. I heard the same thing happened with the last year ones.
I don't think you really need it. I only got them because of that gorgeous over spray. I wont be using them at all. If you are like me and like to collect makeup, then get it. Other then that don't waste your money. I got them at Walgreen's $6.99 each.
