New At The Drugstore ~ Milani Cosmetics Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe Palettes ~ Swatches

Hello Loves, it is finally snowing here in NYC. I wanted snow for Christmas but oh well...
Anyways today i want to show you swatches of new Milani Cosmetics  Products I picked up yesterday.
I went to look for Jordana's Lipsticks for a Friend and I found a display of new Spotlight Strobe Palettes by Milani.
Milani is my favorite drugstore brand. Their products are amazing and always luxurious looking. The gold packaging is everything:) plus the quality of the products is so on point! I could rave about them forever :)  This year Milani is on fire! They launching so many great products that I can't wait to get my hands on, I just need $$$. LOL! But no seriously, all the new stuff is keep showing at my local drugstore and get this the prices are better than on Milani's website (just a thought)
These Spotlight powders retails at $13 at Milani web I got them for $12.

"Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe palette is ultimate multitasking glow powder with universal flattering shades to illuminate face and eye like never before. Light-reflecting powders build and blend effortlessly for an instant glow. Use as a blush, highlight or an eye accent and to spotlight all of your pretty features with beautiful luminosity."

Ah they are so pretty! I just don't want to touch it. The design reminds me of Hourglass eye shadow palettes. The sand dunes design is everything!
Milani Spotlight palette comes with in 3 color selection and each palette have a 3 shades in. Blush, Bronzer, Highlight.

* Sun Light 01 ~ the lightest in the trio comes with white gold highlighter, copper bronzer and coral blush.  Warm toned.

* Candle light 02 ~ medium, comes with pink-pearl highlighter, caramel bronzer and pink blush. Cool toned.

* Golden Light 03 ~ the darkest of all includes all shades of bronze (warm, deep and light).

All three are just stunning!
The packaging is kinda bulky. Its black and square with clear lid.
The products swatched with a finger looks  beautiful. When you use brush and apply to your face it gives you more natural look. It's not crazy pigmented, I know it looks like it might be but it is not.
I over all don't mind it, I like more of natural look and products that wont do me harm hahaha. With more pigmented products I always tend to 'hurt' myself hahah and it so hard to fix.  With these Milani I can work and not be afraid that once I am done I would look like a clown or glitter ball.
I say that if you like super crazy pigmented products these Milani are not for you. If you are like me and like more of natural look and don't mind the lack of pigmentation, they will work for you :)

Katy Perry Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks ~ Swatches + Review

Hi Loves!

I have an exciting post for you today. Any Katy Parry's fan out there? Did you try her new lipstick collection form collab with Cover Girl?

Don't let the word matte fool you. This lipsticks are far form drying matte formula. They are demi-matte, which means they a more creamier and have sheen to it. Plus they feel hydrating rather then drying.
There 13 shades in a collection and I hope they will be permanent.   I found 4 shades so far, but I will be hunting down reaming ones.
Lipsticks comes in a white tube that have a rubbery feel to it. On the lipstick tube you can see  Katy Perry <3 Cover Girl and on other side Katy Kate Matte printed in back. On the bottom there is color and shade name with cutest cat ears printed on top! adorable right?

I bought my at my local Rite Aid ($7.99 each) on a promo buy 1 get second 59% off. My display was rather small and there were two repeat shades. I try to find all unopened lipsticks, coz you know people like to open every single color and swatch it .. dummies! So anyways I found only 4 that I could take home.
They apply smooth and are vanilla scented. Which I really like.
typical wear time is around 5h.

Shades I got:
* Sphynx ~ nude peachy- pink
* Catoure~ brownish pink
* Kitty Purry ~ lilac pink
* Crimson Cat ~ classic red

L'oreal Mono Eye Shadows ~ Swatches

Hi Loves!

Today I want to share my thought on new L'oreal Color Richie Eye shadows that launched with L'oreal 2016 Spring Collection. Finally I was able to get my hands on them. My Rite Aid tend to get all the collection with huge delay. But anyways they are here and I bought them on 40% off promotion. Woohoo!

There is 14 shades available. Matte and shimmers. They retail for $5.99 each.
As much as I am not fan of single eye shadows I really needed to have them.
They all come in small back plastic packaging with a clear lid and L'oreal Paris logo in golden ink.
They are formulated with gel technology and have soft velvet texture. Now the formula is not the easiest to work with. It is really hard to work with a brush. Better to use your finger to apply shadows to the lid. I use brush to blend out the harsh edges. I also tried with sponge applicator and it worked well.

The colors are gorgeous! Haven't wore all of them yet but sooner or later I definitely will.
 the shades I picked up are:
* Pain Au Chocolat ~ metallic shimmery taupe
* Quartz Fume ~ medium chocolate brown shimmer
* Violet Beaute ~ purple burgundy , shimmer
* Sunset Seine ~ shimmery copper bronze
* Green Promenade ~ deep green , metallic finish
* Teal Couture ~ teal green, metallic finish
* Grand Bleu ~ royal blue shimmer

all swatched with my finger.

L'oreal 6 in 1 Cleansing Balm ~ Review

*pr sample*

Hi loves!

Time for a hair care product review. This one was send to me by Influenster for testing purposes.

L'Oreal Ever Pure 6 in 1 cleansing balm ~ combine 6 products in 1 to help save time and put less tear to your hair. I got my for color treated hair.
The bottle is pretty big. Comes with a pump which is a plus. On the instruction they wrote that I need 6 to 8 pumps, considering I have long hair I need more then that.
This is non lathering cleanser that you use in place of your regular shampoo and conditioner. It cleans and condition hair without stripping color or moisture.
 What it does:
* Cleans
* Treat
* Soften
* Condition
* Detangle
* Shine
Free of sulfate, silicone and dye.
Rosemary mint scent. ( I love the scent :) )

I have a mixed feelings .
First when I used it I wasn't quite happy. My hair felt wight down. Especially roots. I felt after drying they still looked greasy and down. There was no volume to it nothing. Plus since I didn't use my hair mask and lots of conditioner  brushing was painful. So no no on its own.
Second I tried with my regular hair care products. This time I skipped my roots and concentrate on my actual hair. I left my scalp alone and for that I used some other product.
I applied is all over my hair ( not scalp) and I let it sit for about 5 min. Then I went ahead with my hair mask and again I let it sit for 5 min. Once I was done I rinse all and then brush it threw and dry it. I will tell you my hair felt a bit better. I actually like to mix it with my other hair products. For ne it works the best that way.
It is not a bad product. But on my hair works better with my all other products.
I will say I will not be buying it again though.

NYM ~ Not Your Mother's ~ Haircare

*PR Sample*

Hi Beauties!

Hair Care review this time for a great drugstore products that work well and are super affordable. I am taking about NYM ~ Not Your Mother's Brand. I got send three products to review and share my thoughts with all of you.
 I been really enjoying all three.. but I must admit I am running low on one :(
I will say I am not really good with hair, but there is a few products that are a must and I have to have them no matter what. De-tangling spray, Dry shampoo and Heat protector are one of them.

knotty to Nice ~ Detangling Spray  ~ love this stuff. one of the best detangling sprays on the market. I use it on my and my daughter's hair. Her hair is straight at the top and curly at the bottom. Sometimes when she play and sweats her hair gets tangle and it really hard to brush. That cause crying and screaming. But since we been using this one crying stops. I just spray it on the knots and start brushing, Brush off within minutes and my daughter is good to go. As for me I do it twice before and after washing my hair. Wonder why before? Because each time I am bout to wash my hair I brush them, so they are easy to wash and then brush. My hair gets really really dry once I get water on them., Without conditioner and DeTagler spray I am pretty sure I would pull half off my head. For me is always before and after. This spray helps me so much with my hair routine. I will definitely be picking up more once I run out. Plus did I mention it smells divine.

Dry Shampoo ~ dry shampoos are my holy grail products. I always have backups of backups. I just can't leave without them. I don't wash my hair everyday.First off I don't have time to do it daily, second it takes time. My hair are too long. I usually do it every 2-3 days. On the days that my hair are down or feel greasy I have my rescue team :) My dry shampoo. I just lift my hair a bit and spay onto my roots and then all hair. Hair looks better. It also loft my hair and don't weight them down. I have unscented one, but definitely will be getting the scented version. This one is in my Top 3 the best dry shampoo.

Beat the Heat ~ Thermal Shield Spray ~  for some one who uses hot tools every day this is a must have. I used to use Matrix one ...long time ago and I remember I couldn't live without it. And since I can't get it anymore I was on the hunt for a good thermal spray. i tried few and I was not happy with the results. NYM thermal spray is better then the other I tried with no doubt. it protects my hair and it don't make them sticky. That was the problem with other the stickiness. I hate it. With NYM I didn't notice that. I used it mostly when I use a flat iron. I divide my hair and spray each layer. It works great and after brushing it my hair feels soft and straight :)

I am really impressed with this brand. I actually see a very large selection at drugstore but somehow I never really tried any of it. I hear a lot of people talks about Sea Salt Spray so It will be defiantly on my wish list to try in  near future.
How about you ? did you try this brand before? what would you recommend?

All mentioned products can be found at any drugstore : CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens Target, Ulta.

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks Swatches ~ My Collection

I am big fan of Wet n Wild. They are super affordable drugstore brand here in US. The quality of products really feels like a high end. The eyeshadows, nail polishes and lipsticks.
Their Megalast lipsticks are amazing! If you have them then you know what I am talking about.
The are pigmented, glide on smooth and all have matte finsih. the best part? They don't feel drying on the lips. With one swipe you get full opacity. Formula is rich and velvety. The last hours on the lips.
The only downside is the packaging. It can be hella annoying! especially the cap. You have to be really careful while putting it back on. And another thing is that lipstick stick up. You can't twist it don to hide it on the tube :( but for $2 a piece you can't go wrong.
I have in my collection total of almost 30. Some might be repeats. Some are in permanent  line and some are limited edition. I will mark the LE ones.

 NUDES

LE from this bunch were : Rose to Fame, Night Cap, Tangelinos, Blossom Out, Coming in Latte, Pink Sugar and Clothing Optional.

PINKS AND PURPLES

LE from this bunch are:  Urban Nights, Bordeaux Bitten, Pink Pyramid, On the AVe,

REDS AND ORANGES

 LE form this bunch are: Coral-ine, Celeb Sightseeing and Red Sea Resort.

As for LE (Limited Edition) colors they are very similar to ones in permanent line or the other LE lipsticks that came out before. I have a close dupe post I did a while back when I picked few LE lipsticks form Halloween and Fall Displays 2015. Here is the LINK if you want to check it out.

Overall I will say these are one of the best lipsticks you can fin in a drugstore. They are creamy and pigmented and super cheap!
All the swatches I used only one swipe !!! ONE!!!!
I sill missing few form permanent display. I will have to hunt them down soon :)
Available in any drugstore that sells Wet N Wild products :)

NOTE:
I also have a bunch of eye shadow palettes. I will be swatching them and posting it soon! :)

Milani Cosmetics Everyday Eyes 'Earthly Elements' Eyeshadow palette ~ Swatches + Review

OMG I am so excited to see my favorite drugstore brand Milani Cosmetics came out with a eyeshadow palettes! They just launched recently and there is total of 6 palettes available now.
If you know me , you know my love for Milani Cosmetics. They are by far the best drugstore brand! Their products are amazing, affordable and comes in the prettiest gold packaging ever. I could talk and talk about them, seriously!

I picked only Earthy Elements palette, coz this was the only one left...
It comes in beautiful rectangle gold packaging, with clear lid. Milani name is visible on the lid in gold ink.  Packaging is plastic but very good quality. Doesn't feel cheap. On the back you can see a tutorial on how to use the palettes and which shade is you base etc. Tells you step by step on how to use each color in the palette.  Normally I don't care much for those kind of tutorials. Each palette comes with dual-ended brush. Which is an actual brush and not a sponge one that most of the palettes uses.
I haven't use the brush, so I can really say if it is good or not.

The colors in this palette are gorgeous! Tell me you think so too! Especially that ORANGE! I actually wanted this palette, coz that color stand up and screamed my name form the pics when I first saw it. On the Milani Website this palette is described as "terracotta & earthy" Beautiful warm tones palette.
Eyeshadows are rich and pigmented! they feel soft and they blend really nice!
They are matte and shimmer shades. Shimmers swatches nice but they will create fallouts, especially the first (base) shade. It is just a glitter in my opinion. The other shimmers preform much better. and they are opaque in one swipe.   Mattes are nice, I had to swipe my finger few times so they swatch can be visible. Mattes are not my faves though. I really want to love them but they do take a lot of time to build it up.

Overall I really like this palette and I will be getting rest of the colors. Milani did really good :) I love to see drugstore brands coming out with a high quality palettes. I say go for it! The shadows are amazing and they wear long time over a primer.
Milani also launched few new products that I cant wait to get my hands on! Including new primers, foundation and liquid lipsticks!

I got my palette form CVS $10.99
You can find them at any drugstore that carry MILANI line and they are available on Milani Website for $9.99

Milani Cosmetics Constellation Gel Liners Fall 2015

I was lucky enough to find a display at my local Walgreens. Milani came out with similar ones last year too. But unfortunately I bought nothing... I only found empty displays.
 I really wanted it even though they didn't have the best reviews. But come on you just want them in your collection, they are just so pretty too look at it.
So when I saw the new ones I grabbed all three,
The glitter/over-spray is just so beautiful.
I think they might be Limited Edition like the ones form last year.

Here are this year shades:
* 04 Evening Star (silver, blue)
* 05 Celestial (mix of pinks, golds and browns)
* 06 Galaxy  (mix of greens)

Now a moment of truth. I mean if you have the last year ones you know what I am about to say.
Underneath of that gorgeous over spray we get regular liner. That means all that glitter don't run through the entire pot. Sucks...
Evening star is a black liner, Celestial is brown and Galaxy ~ really dark green almost black. I really wont be able to tell the difference between Galaxy and Evening star once the glitter is gone.
I did swatched them on my hand and they did not dry. I heard the same thing happened with the last year ones.
I don't think you really need it. I only got them because of that gorgeous over spray. I wont be using them at all. If you are like me and like to collect makeup, then get it. Other then that don't waste your money. I got them at Walgreen's $6.99 each.
.

Spotted NYX Cosmetics Holiday Sets

I might be wrong but oh well.
I stumble upon them at my local CVS. NYX Cosmetics Holiday Sets. The did had similar ones last year as well. I remember I wanted to grab the one with butter glosses.
Today I saw three sets of Butter  Lipsticks ( 9 shades in pack of 3 lipsticks )
3 sets of Butter Glosses ( 9 shades in pack of 3) and Simply Chubby Sticks ( same 9 shades pack of 3) ~ here I apologize I show you only two sets I thought I took the photo of  third as well but it was not :( I duplicated pictures.
Also there two sets with NYX Adorable and Smoky palettes + 2 mega shine lip glosses ( I really like them).

Each seat retails at $9.99! steal right?
I believe last year butter gloss set was $11.99? But I might be wrong.
